Goodness, Scribing looks like a long difficult road to complete and definately much longer than completing the Gold Road story which im sure will be epic in it's own capacity.
So this isn't quite the scribing part - this is specifically the cosmetic skill style. We'll have a scribing 101 video up shortly though. But to your point, the scribing quest line is a little long but imo it's the best quest line story I have ever played in 10+ years of this game. As for the grind part...the script farming will be a bit lengthy overall. We'll be interested to see if they continue to work on it and make it less grindy - especially for alts.
Great question! Mosaic Skill Shreds are used to get skill styles (Grand Healing, Lilac Purple - 10 shreds; Dawnbreaker, Dusk Purple - 20 shreds; Meteor, Blazing Orange - 30 shreds). If you're not in a rush to get them then selling them is a great way to make some coin. People will pay a pretty penny early on for them so it's completely up to you.
Where do you find the associated skills? I have completed the starter quest and have been declared the inheritor but only find the low slash, burnt orange style
You'll find the skills under their respective skill lines. If you haven't used a particular weapon on your character yet you won't see the skill line. So for example if you want to see the restoration staff skill you'll need to equip a resto staff and kill something to see the skill line open. You'll want to open the guild skill lines by visiting the respective guild locations and accept your memberships. For Assault/Support you'll want to head to any PvP area to open those.
@@the_fox_dento clarify, I wanted to know where the collected skill styles are found and what skills they can be applied to. A guildmate told me to open the menu > collections > collections > appearance > skill styles (found at bottom of the list). I’m on a PS4
@@the_fox_den Thankyou, I had an add on Lui Extended which was causing that paintbrush icon not to appear for me. Thankyou very much for your quick reply! It's much appreciated.

should I save mosaic skill shred or sell them? What are they used for?

Awesome! Are skills styles account based or only on characters who complete the quest?
Great question! These are connected to achievements so they are account wide!
Why is the wall of elements style so hard to obtain? t.t
Yea, it's definitely one of our favorites but the most difficult to get :(

How do you actually apply the skill styles once unlocked?
Go into your skills menu and you will see a paintbrush icon next to the skills with skill styles. Click on that to select the style.
