Loved the analysis, really detailed and useful. I was thinking maybe he's is describing depression throughout this poem, that feeling of not wanting to do anything at all- not ambition, not poetry not even love. He is listless and unmotivated. I know his brother died a few months before this poem was written so thats what made me read it from the eyes of someone in mourning.
