Sleepy with both Phoenix Wright and Frank on the same team? Seems like a bad idea to have two characters that need leveling up at the same time, though there is some synergy there.
She’s still ranked as 3rd by most pros. West coast plays her a bit more ( Mothman, Noel brown, quack, snaketitz). Phoniex is inherently niche character because she can only played on anchor and requires a team built around her ( especially morrijean teams can really unconventional point characters). Phoniex online is probably harder/ more frustrating because of lag when doing tac infinites and blocking.
There should be a random stage tournament, where you can only go for the first random. Stage/location is part of major sporting event, some have home advantage some don't.
Ya know I actually have a couple of original teams but every time I join this tournament now they never put me on stream which is crazy! Look at my channel to see what teams I play.
I understand Yipes history with Marvel especially on the commentary side but his time has came and went. Umvc3 is a different game now and is played with new top players. I first realized this when he commentated with Proxy ( I forget the name of the event) but not only wasn't familiar with the players and updated tech but Proxy did a beyond amazing job of both doing his normal amazing commentary but also updating Yipes on newer players and new tech. Yipes will always be one of if not the best commentary of all-time but it's a new Marvel world we play today. Big shout outs to Yipes and much much much love to Tong & the entire TNS squad
I like the Iron fist play, even the very unconventional Crescent Heel assist usage (it does hit overhead), but I have to comment at the 1:21:39 mark. I know some players rewatch their tourney matches back and I hope Drake Von Duke understands that after the wall bounce from Iron fists super he could have easily just done one dash, a second dash cancelled into standing H, quick kick, lotus whip, twin snakes, wall of k'un l'un and STILL saved the xfactor AND kill nova. This was a very frustrating exchange knowing that Drake wanted to gimlet and xfactor to net arrow which would have been good but unlikely to build the meter to kill.

There's a lot of anti-Phoenix tech in the game, although she is still played often, just in specific teams as opposed to whichever team there is.
