Brilliant video work just shows how down hill the railway's have gone, i remember the good old days when you got a waiting room with heating or a coal fire, now if your lucky you get a bus shelter😊,
My brother and I mut have just missed you. We were on platform 2 , spotting from 10-30 to 1-30. Shame to have missed you. It would have been good to have introduced ourselves. We are not tedious.
A very different scene from the 70-80's I remember. Saw a loaded train of carflats spread across all lines at the south end. Headed by a 45, it had been turned into the loop at Budbrooke, but failed still foul of the mainline. It was assisted clear by a following freightliner, up to the top of the bank, failed to stop at the loop end, pushed through the traps and just kept piling up until it came to a stand. It took three days to clear with cranes from Saltley and Swindon. The cars were bound for the MAT yard at Dorridge, where I was checker/shunter at the time. 1975/6?
"Snow came early to the Island of Sodor, and it was heavier than usual". All kidding aside, I live in New Jersey, US, and it's pretty strange that the Midlands have gotten measurable snowfall before New Jersey has.
