Accidental Meditation on Darkroom Failure (8mm film)

While working on a film restoration project it was noted that one of the reels had been developed as a first time, at home darkroom film development experiment. This reel of 8mm film was shot and developed perhaps some time between the late 1960s and early 1970s. The results are indicative of a failed developing process as very little of the captured imagery was retained. However I noticed that when adding an ethereal music track to it the video becomes hypnotically trance-like. It has accidentally become one of my favorite restorations.
