I love how Mr. Bear turned around haughtily when you noted his presence, as if to say, "I've been here the whole time, sis." 🙂 Thanks for the cleanser recommendations because I've gotten into a rut with my makeup removal, and have not caught up with my aging skin's need for gentler thorough cleanings.
Love balms, and wet flannel etc..Btw, Nivea, in the blue tin (made in Germany) is an amazing moisturiser when I'm tired of expensive creams. And it also works deliciously as a balm type cleanser. Love it!
I love cleansing balms. The Ordinary Squalane is my favorite. The Inkey List Oat cleansing balm separated and I would get a very liquid section, then a very thick section. I'll try it again one day.
😄I’ve just bought elf balm because it was cheaper than my Clinique balm. But I’ve worked out elf 50 ml £11 Clinique 125 ml £25! Now I can justify Clinique because it works out cheaper in the end. I’ll finish elf first which is fine
I’m using the Q + A one at the moment and it’s great, the other one I love is the Revolution Sali Hughes one and also Camomile Body shop one, so good. 😊
So lovely to see you back! Loved the video even though cleansing balms are just not for me. Have tried many times but now at 55 years, I know that my skin just does not react well to a flannel/muslin/microfibre cloth - it now just causes irritation, however gently I do it. I’ve bought so many balm cleansers (luxury and high street) and attempted to simply wash them off but even those that emulsify well, cause blocked pores after a few days use and eventually deep, painful spots. My skin used to be so much more hardy around 10 years ago too! ❤ PS LOVE your book!
@@RuthCrilly yes, tried those too. Used the original Makeup Eraser cloths back in the day plus several others. Still too much friction, especially on a daily basis when I’m wearing makeup each day. My skin has just got too precious in the last few years! Thanks for your reply though - very kind ❤️
Good morning to all of you, especially Ruth 😊! I like your suggestions very much, trying to use the inkey list one next. Btw your makeup looks so gorgeous! Would you please show us, how you‘ve done it in one of your next videos?🙏
Hi Ruth I have used inky list one and the ordinary one but will try the others you have recommended because if they do the job itds good enough for me,thank you. X
Mr bear has the right approach to cleansing 😂he having a good self grooming session behind ya...anyways apologies I love cats ..was distracted while u gave some great recommendations

Hi Ruth, are these all safe to put over eyes to remove eye makeup? I would love a cleansing balm but all I saw was 'avoid direct contact with the eyes' on cleansing balm packaging in general, even sensitive and unfragranced ones. I know you mentioned using one for eye makeup which is great, I would to just carry 1 cleanser when travelling. Thanks for the great video.
Glad you have tried thousands😂! I was just about to buy a cleansing balm- perfect timing. One influencer suggested an Eve Lom which costs like $200.00!😢😢😢
I really tried to like the Inkey List balm cleanser, used it all up so as not to waste it but really disliked it. I've got the Q&A Grapefruit cleanser ready to try when my Geek and Gorgeous Mighty Melt cleansing balm runs out which is my personal favourite. Fragrance free and very reasonably priced.
@@RuthCrilly I didn't like the consistency and despite cleaning it off thoroughly, it always felt like there was a film left on my skin. Don't get me wrong, if there was nothing else available I'd use it but definitely wouldn't repurchase it. This was maybe getting on for 2 years ago now, maybe they've reformulated it since then 🤷
So happy to see Mr. Bear doing well after all these years. 🤗
Still plodding along!! x

Same happened with mine. Thick then liquid. Hasn't gone back to a thick bit yet but I shall live in hope 😅
I’ve tried loads of balm cleansers and always come back to No7. Always on offer, removes all makeup and doesn’t sting my eyes.
I like that Mr Bear was washing his face behind you at the start of this video.

Thanks Ruth... great video..i'm a big fan of inkey list so will be trying that for sure
Love this video. So insightful and I love using a good cleanser.
Your hair looks so lovely here!
A budget skincare vudeo, like the old times ❤These all sound great, cant believe i haven't tried any of them 😱
I purchased your recommendation from the Inky List & I absolutely love it. Thanks you so so much.
The Curel make up melting gel is similar to a balm as well and lush! Highly recommend, always on offer as well

What about one of those really soft microfibre cloths? Yeah I wouldn't ever use a balm if I couldn't remove it with a cloth. x

Thanks for your recommendations, it's good to have new things to try. I like superdrug cleansing balm and also their hot cloth cleanser 😊

WHA?! Yikes.
Love a lot of Q&A products and super facialist cleansing oil 🫶🏻 is great, used for years.
