You really are the one to watch now when it comes to Eastenders scenes on UA-cam 😊

Phil was always more quietly menacing than Grant, Grant just roared like a lion. However Ian was always doing things to try and bring Phil down and stir things up, is it no wonder Phil reacted the way he did to Beale. Right from the first time they met in 1990 they disliked each other, as Ian was pompous to Phil in the cafe. The rest was history.

Ever since Ian disrespected Kathy at that dinner, phil treated him badly. And to be fair, he got what was coming to him

@@connorbegley2539 Ian was a complete prick at this point, he's a prick now but writers mostly just make him look stupid these days.

@@tomhiggins6542 Yes Ian was always snitching on Phil, and humiliating him in front of everyone at the dinner, no wonder he got his head shoved down the khazi. In mid 2000, Phil flipped when Ian yet again snitched on him by getting his gf Lisa sacked, so Phil went round his house to break his bones but Laura was there, if she hadn't have been, Phil would have left Ian with permanent disabilities.
