There’s definitely no shame in having professionals paint the aircraft. That’s exactly what I would do. Honestly, I’m surprised you even chose to cover it. I’m not sure that part is something I would do myself either. I wouldn’t mind the actual construction of the wings in the aircraft, but I would want the covering job and the paint job to be flawless, and for those things in my opinion handing it off to the professionals who do it often would likely produce the best result. There is certainly well-deserved pride that can be taken in doing it yourself, however.
