I’ve always been a fan of the TAPs, but never a fan of the Y Harness or the retention straps for the mags and side pouches. Right before JRTC, I swapped out the harness with an H Harness from spiritus and threw on some bungee cords from those cheap condor mag pouches. Made a big difference, I usually run my radio on an outside pouch so didn’t have to worry about the side slots. Not all army gear is bad, I think they’re going somewhere with the TAPs, beats the FLC and even that new Airborne TAPs.

The modded Taps is great until you have to go prone and that is where the FLC is better.

You can 550 cord it to the bottom row of molle

There would also be much less sway because the cords would be shorter.

The one in this video is actually a velocity systems and is 2 in wide. I do believe the spiritus fat strap is 2 in wide as well

Can you drop a link to the mayflower harness upgrade?

I’m not sure if mayflower/velocity sells just the H harness or not. If they do it would be on velocity systems website
