with the bone claws friendly debate - I don't really see why some are opposed to the bone claws when Marrow's mutant power is to produce weapons made of bones. Plus when they took the adamantium from Logan they still had to give him defensive weapon/ signature. Those claws protruding from his hands are signature.

Apparently that Superman pic was taken by a behind the scenes photographer, who captured David Corenswet putting on a boot between filming. And Gunn liked it so much he used it for the promo image.
I don’t mind the Superman suit reveal. I think it looks pretty good. Not really sure why people got so upset about it.
I can see why but I also don't think it is that big of a deal and truly won't know about how it looks untill it's seen in a trailer, I didnt like the henry cavil suit reveal when it was first revealed and people trying to gaslight me saying henry cavil didnt go through the same thing are just wrong

The shoulders pads look awkward and ill fitting. Especially with the tight collar. If the shoulders and cape part looked more professional and the neck wasn’t so tight and lower, people would be less worried.

I'm loving the way the writers on X-Men 97 have introduced cameos in the show. Really enjoyed the Hulk one on the recent episode.
Imo i always liked the bone claws...they are a part of him just like claws are a part of a cat... weapon x knew he was mutant and turned him into a weapon because of his healing factor and the fact he already had built in defensive/offensive weapons within his hands...

How to they go in and out? Did they put Adamantium springs in his arms too? Bone claws make perfect sense and I've never heard anybody complain about them until now. People thought they were badass when I was a kid.

Wolverine’s bone claws were always part of his mutation, they didn’t realize it until they put the adamantium on his skeleton. I always liked that twist revelation in Wolverine #75.

Claws were after thought,20 years after Wolverine's creation. Them only came about after a comics writer made a joke about ripping the metal from his body. Because Wolverine needs his claws the editor/writers logically assumed he had the "claws the whole time" Before that Wolverine was a guy that had claws in his gloves, then writers revealed they were a part of his arms as cyborg implants. Every X-men book describes Wolverine as a cyborg, with surgeries shown in certain issues and robots parts under his skin. All of this was tossed when his metal skeleton was stripped from him.
Bone claws under the adamantiun makes more sense hence how he’s able to retract them. How would he be able to do that with just knives in his forearms
The bone claw debate is comic book store talk and put a smile to my face.

Never thought Coy would be so wildly wrong about a comic book element. There are so many crazy mutations, bone claws makes fine sense.

X-Men '97: I've been loving it for the most part. I do think some of the hype is a bit blown out of proportion, but it's been something I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to each week. My biggest problem with it is that they cram way too much in. Some think of that as a good thing, but I don't. Some of the stories they adopted could have been 3 or 4 episodes or hell, an entire season. But they do it in 30min. The other problem is how they benched Wolverine until the 8th episode. And now, the adamantium ripped out... I think its them just writing him off.
Whoa.. Coy.. Come on... Wolverine has claws most of the time! Simple math. Wolverine first appeared 50 years ago back in 1974. We see the bone claws in 1993 (Wolverine Vol. 2 #75) that is 19 years into his run, not "35 or 40". So for 31 years he has had the bone Claws.
I personally love the bone claws. I don't think he will be feral.. I mean they did that for a while, but he didn't have adamantium until '99. So a good 6 years of no adamantium and he wasn't "feral" the entire time.
So they could have him just heal up and ride off on his own leaving the team. In fact that is what I think they will do. The show runner said they didn't want the focus to be on Wolverine. Writing him off the show ensures this.
Superman suit: It looks horrible. Now obviously these are opinions and they will vary and I think if you love it, thats great. But I'll share my opinion as well. I dislike the S. I dislike the collar. I hate the trunks. I dislike the fabric/texture of the suit itself. I don't think there is anything I like about it. I shared this with my friend and he replied he wasn't really into the CW stuff anymore. I told him this was a promotional pic for the movie and he was so shocked. It does look like CW level stuff and not really a movie.
I don't know about the complaints having him sitting down putting his boots on.. I think that's funny though. I would say that maybe a better first image would have been Superman standing, fists on hips sort of pose. It would have at least filled his in the shoulders and what not. Corenswet is 6'4 I'm so glad Kristian fact checked that one. Coy speaks with such authority that people will listen to him and believe him on face value. lol But anyway, yeah.. the suit.. not great at all. It isn't about loyalty.. at least I don't think so. I mean being objective, Cavill just looks better in every way. Sure he is 6'1" so shorter, but in the comics Superman is 6'1"-6'3" depending on the artist.. that is according to DC. So he has the height. But not only that, the build. The physique. He is the only actor to have the build just write. Reeve wasn't impressive at all. He was tall, but skinny. Even at his best shape after bulking up he was still pretty skinny. So he had the height, but not the build. Other's were in great shape, but not quite Superman level impressive. Dean Cain was in great athletic shape. Tom Welling large and filled out a suit, but not all muscle. Routh looked great, but needed a tad bit more muscle. Cavill.. sure he had a suit that accentuated his muscles, but we've seen him shirtless in all the movies. Dude has the muscle. I do think Corenswet put in work and put on muscle (not to the Cavill level) but the suit in this pic doesn't show it off. So perhaps a mistake on Gunn's part for not using any muscle padding.
Coogler: Honestly either way is totally cool. Both really good fits. BUT I'm not interested in Black Panther anymore. T'challa is my Black Panther.. I'm not into Shuri. So for that.. yeah, X-Men would be the more popular (with audiences) and make way more money.

The Spider-Man trilogy is probably one of my favorites in the MCU* so I'd kind of like them to have a college-to-adult trilogy thought out. I guess there's a ticking clock until Secret Wars so that may be ambitious.

Fans hated FERAL Wolverine and the writers had to undo that storyline, so....I don't know if they're going to do anything with that. I thought it was just me, then I found out a lot of comic fans wasn't rocking with that change.
In season 2, in regard to Wolverine, I would like to see the aftermath of what Magneto did to him. I want to see the struggle of dealing with PTSD, Logan having to get used to his bone claws breaking, losing confidence in himself and eventually leaving the X-men. I wouldn't mind if MARVEL ANIMATION uses that to set up a Wolverine show, and he could cross over into future X-men 97 episodes. I hope they don't quickly give him back his adamantium because I'd like to see a redemption story.
Definitely not the best first image of this new Superman to release. It just feeds the trolls and disappoints those who want a bright Superman. Still excited for this film regardless, one picture isn't going to change that.
Coogler is too talented to keep making superhero movies. He’s should make more original stories.

Jon Favreau is the best person to direct a fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man film. For three reasons: 1. Hiring him signals to moviegoers that Marvel and Sony are taking a back-to-basic approach. What better way to show they are serious about the next phase of films than by bringing back the guy who kicked off The MCU? 2) His previous relationships: With his work as Happy Hogan in the Spider-man films, Favreau already knows Holland and Zendaya, etc. He has also worked with Sony & Disney. Favreau is someone they'd both agree on (most likely). They'd trust that the movie is in good hands. 3) Favreau can strike the balance. He can tell a grounded street-level story and include character moments, comedy and action as needed.

Aquaman 2 budget was $220 million and it made $434 million with only $120 million domestic. It was far from breaking even but still made more any other dc movie last year
The Superman suit looks decent will reserve judgement til the first trailer, I would like to see Coogler do X-Men, with his integration into the Marvel machine, his roots in independent film, and the data calculated from his previous work I think he would be the choice to get the X-Men started and than bring in other directors to continue the Franchise, in the meantime he can produce and consult on BP3 to wrap some of those storylines and also, age up T'Challa so he can pop up in some crossover events.

You're wrong Coi about the claws. If you're adding logic to it, you'll have to account for how do they work. I remember the old marvel books where they break down vehicles, weapons, suits, etc. And the claws were said to be attached to his arm muscles, which seems even more unbelievable. Now, if he's born with them, it makes more sense that his arm muscles are already prepared for the adamantium. Also, wouldn't his healing factor just push the knifes out?

Isn’t it crazy how much X-men 97 is bombing so hard in the ratings and no one is talking about it. Greatest thing in years marvel wise and still bombing hard.
Coogler is one of my favs but idk, his handling of effects have always bothered me. But honestly, I worry who else they could get so maybe just do Coogler.

I'm with Winston, in saying that I am a big huge fan of Ryan Coogler. He is my favourite film director of all time. My #1 film director (along & tied with Kira Kurosawa Brian De Palma & Guy Ritchie). As an inspiring film director, he is my inspiration and main influence in addition to the other directors listed above. I would want him to finish his trilogy and if he wants to and is comfortable doing it, as he has a lot on his plate, he can do it but he is young and so he could potentially do it and cast Storm really well. If he can't, I really hope that he possibly could write the script.

Winston won me over with Coogler finishing out BP. At first, I preferred he do X-Men, but I want to see him finish BP, hopefully in a high note.
Loved Rogue's rant, only weakness in it was when she said "you threw [Morph] to the wolves." Because Wolverine was going to go back for him, and who stopped him? That's right, ROGUE! So she's throwing stones from a glass house in that example.

I wanted to say I watch your shows occasionally as well and alot more lately and you are getting alot better at this podcast/UA-cam thing. This is your best opening ever and the energy and wit and comedy (that's hit or miss with me honestly but not bad). You killed it and you should incorporate your comedy sketches and itraticness more. Yo, when you was giving mad props to the Knicks, I had a massive smile ear to ear. Like you, i grew up in the Ewing, Starks, Mason, Sprewell, Houston Era when we went to the Finals TWICE. So being deep into the playoffs is maaaad exciting man. Two games down, two more to go baby!! Its going to be tougher since Brunson is semi injured, Randle, Robinson are out of the playoffs & OG Ananobly is injured & won't play a few games. re: xmen director rumours - i HONESTLY would love for them to give Ryan and Destin [Shang-Chi] the reins to the [entire] marvel kingdom AND add Scarlett Johansson [or RDJ] to direct something in the universe they helped create.

I like Barry Jenkins but Ryan Coogler has a more impressive catalogue to me and he's familiar with the Superhero genre and the Marvel machine. I understand Winston's point though, it would suck to just abandon the Black Panther franchise but Coogler is just a better choice of the two imo

X-Men 97 was my most anticipated show of the year and it's been fantastic, amazing, everything. I don't want the X-Men mixed in the MCU, keep it separate--- it's so much better this way, for me.

I hope they wouldn't do an X-Men film right away, they already did tons of them and alot wasn't that good.. in my opinion, they should do a movie for every big character in the X-Men like "Rogue", "Xavier", "Scott&Jean 4Ever", "Beast".. take your time with the Mutant saga and for a avengers type movie you putting on a team with a big villain like sinister or apocalypse. Just dive in to some character, let them build up our connection with them and then the team up will appropriate.
