One day, I’ll get tired of analyzing John Williams’ music… but that day is not today. Enjoy! :)
Ook! [...!]
I may get tired of it one day too. I will probably be dead on that day.
Ook! [Bah... you're weak,. I'll have atomic-powered player in my coffin playing JW music.]
I certainly won't! :)
Have you tackled Jerry Goldsmith yet?
To any trumpet player who can play this without ending up in a hospital, you have my eternal respect... from, a saxophone player
As a trumpet player, i fully agree with you
Truth
As a viola player I will laugh. 🤣
Absolutely fabulous writing for the brass, as always by Maestro Williams. Excellent trumpet ensemble and solo lines. Genius!
F*** THAT!!!! How Fabulous HORN writing!!!!!
I'm actually more impressed by the first two bars than anything after it. Bravissimo! Please, never get tired of doing this!
Masterful writing for brass, as one would expect from Williams.
it actually boggles my mind how insane this piece is, I love it every bit.
The way trumpet seems to catch the quidditch ball at the end. it’s Amazing
So short but so densely-packed!
Full track is dense af
Love this. Would be absolutely incredible to see the full quidditch match cue analyzed...it's quite an intense one.
I've been waiting for this moment for a long time, thanks Brad
Pure Holst!
Great!! And which piece by Holst?

Sophisticated harmonies and rythm
On the lines of Quidditch music, could you possibly take a look into and possibly analyze "Ron's Victory" from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince? The violins in that piece just give me goosebumps whenever I hear them, and it makes me wish I could have seen the recording session of that song.
the ultimate gift : Conductor's Score : "The Quidditch Match"/\/\ "Invisability Cloak And Mirror (extended)": John Williams :D
I'd love you to do a series of this about the whole music of 1991's Beauty and the Beast!!
He and Jerry Goldsmith are my favourite composers
This is so incredibly helpful, thank you!!!! I was wondering, where is it that I could buy some of my own accurate score reductions please? When I look for them online they're often incredibly stripped back children's versions or something of the like. Thank you!
It does feel like he catch the snitch with that trumpet run
The Imperial Suite from Rogue One Please!
I think that the theme of Quiditch Second Year was very similar to the speeder chase theme in star wars 2
Yh williams was working on attack of the clones at the time and one of the cues got mixed up. Its in sideway's video 'secrets of the marauders map'
Fabulous..
Recording?? I would love to know where you got it since I’m gonna be working on this in the near future :)
Could you do music by Michael Giacchino please? So like Spider-Man, Star Trek, incredibles etc
I cant follow scores when theyre being played for the life of me. Enjoyed the music though, amazing composition by john
Edit: i didnt notice you have written words actually analysing it. Phone screens are a bit small for this unfortunately but i will watch more of these on my pc. Thanks a lot!!!
god bless you
Question: in the second last measure the first trumpet plays sixteenth notes leading up to the G chord. However, it says "PT" over the last note before the trumpet hits the high g. What does "PT" stand for? Is it some kind of tonguing technique?
PT likely stands for Passing Tone; F# though is the leading tone to G; I imagine the OP labeled it as a PT though being foreign to the Eb Mixolydian scale.
@@JoelEverettComposer What does "OP" stand for?
@@BlazinInfernape original poster. It's more commonly used on internet forums, but sometimes the term bleeds over
Reminds me of one of bartoks piano concertos..

Not by FilmScoreAnalysis, but brilliant nonetheless:

That trumpet scale at 1:33 is almost definitely played by a machine gun, not a human being.
Please do Chariot Race (The Prince of Egypt soundtrack) - Hans Zimmer Please!!
Where can I find this recording please?
Same man, been wanting it so bad.
You can get it on La-La Land Records' 7CD Box Set

I think FilmScoreAnalysis uses an earlier digital release

it seems a lot like gustave holst
Please do the original one for this theme, i beg you...
