SHORT SUMMARY;
This Asylum film was shot in five days.
With that depressing fact in mind, I found the end result surprisingly compelling thanks to some well-tuned performances, a much more serious tone than you'd expect, and some great monster makeup work (Yay! Classic Wolfman!). Prepare yourself for a movie that mainly involves monsters standing in stylishly lit rooms talking to each other, and you'll find stuff to enjoy -like a sympathetic Frankenstein's monster portrayal, a compelling Dracula, and a sleepy Michael Madsen. In all honesty, for as little mashing as there is (Mostly limited to Frankenstein's monster delivering headbutts), there's more than in FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN.
I've always been baffled as to why there aren't many fun Asylum movies, and the head-spinning truth I've learned through interviews with filmmakers is that they're micro-managed to death by producers - who demand script changes, lighting changes, and more to fit their particular vision, which is seemingly "Bland and lifeless." The only way to get anything vaguely interesting through is if you love what you're doing and are willing to fight for it, so hats off to MONSTER MASH's Writer/Director Jose Prendes for crafting something that's got that monster kid energy to it, which I need to underline once more, was shot in FIVE FREAKING DAYS.

Very interesting movie indeed,its just that - i can't understand why is Egyptian Pharaoh slumbering in a cave of east Europe as well as - how is invisibly man holding a weapon from a future technology since the hapening takes time around 19-20

You want cheesy in the 80's Bobby 'Boris' Pickwick was in a VERY cheesy movie based on his hit song of the same name.

Everything but the kitchen sink , quite a goofy entertaining film of the 80/90 's b movie era .
Reminds me of the Monster Squad .Waxwork rtf takes me back to my younger days ,checking out Blockbusters or the old Video stores with the garish covers .
Definitely some cheese, but fun to watch.
Awesome film Im 60 ,reminds me of FULL MOONS film THE CREEPS great vibes watching it also want to mention takes me back to the 70’s Saturday morning MONSTER SQUAD tv show my inner child cry’s for more films like this.
Will someone send this to Universal, this is how you do a Dark universe movie. I went into this with low expectations but I am shocked it is an Asylum movie while I love their movies they have produced some terrible movies. This is not one of them. Now we are not talking Lord of the rings here, Peter Jackson does not have dust off his resume. This is really enjoyable monster movie in the vein of some of the classic Hammer movies and in tone reminds me a little of Van Helsing.
This movie does wear it's influences on it's sleeve from the classic versions of these characters to a wolfman who is a nod to the character from Penny Dreadful. The three performances that stand out are Dracula (Ethan Daniel Corbett), his daughter (Emma Reinagel) and Frankenstein's monster name Boris (Erik Clesco Mann) in this version. Corbet's Dracula grew on me more and more as the movie went on. Mann's monster and Reinagel's Dracula's daughter really brought great heart to their roles. While the rest of the cast gave good performances all round. Marsden is an old hand at this style of character and while not stretching himself does a good job.
Despite what the title said this is only 480p which is a shame as it makes some of the scenes hard to see especially the final fight but overall I have to say give it a watch it's a good B+ Movie

Great atmospheric sets, a decent plot and Michael Madsen (yay!). How many knew, by the way, that Michael was related to Bonnie Parker of Bonnie & Clyde fame? They should make a TV series with this gang - could be fun

I will praise the actor playing Dracula. Kinda humourous side to him, as if johnny depp teached him
I was expecting this movie to be more comical like the song that the title comes from. It should have been. The movie itself is fine, just a bit misleading based on the title. A better movie with different monsters working together, in my opinion, is The Monster Squad. That at least had some humor in it. The "Fright Break" an hour into the movie was stupid.
Pretty ok movie, but a little hiccup along the way.
