How is it for non-box squats? Does it fuck your groove up on the way out of the hole too much or is it useful?

I think that's the point of the bar, to challenge your groove. Regarding free squats, I think that if you maintained the same tightness as you would on the box, squeezing the bar and keeping everything stable, and maintain a relatively straight bar path, you'll be fine.
The bar itself is just going to add instability and make the squat a little more posterior chain centric. I use it all the time, if it fucks you up then you're probably doing it wrong
It’s honestly easier without the box because you’re not able to rock forward at all. If your box form is a little bit off and you get forward off the box, this bar will fold you like a taco

The best place to control the bar is at the bottom corner. There is no grip accommodation, yet. So invent a cambered bar with corner grip. This would eliminates almost all the swing.

i have both an SSB and a cambered bar, probably dont need a duffalo bar, but both of those others are great
Don’t buy a duffalo bar. $600+ for a curved bar is stupid. Titan fitness makes a curved bar call the “Yukon bar” for $220 and it’s rated for 2000lbs

Decreased stress on shoulders elbows wrists. Adds variation. It's unstable
Adding variation to your regular squat even by inches will defiantly make you stronger in ur regular squat. Using cambered bar or safety squat bar, the weight placement is sooo much different and even much harder even with much lighter weight. So it’s making the squat harder with lesser weight thus saving your spine but still getting stronger.

Anybody else having issues with the bar sliding down when moving up in weight?
I'd suggest using a spider bar because it has handles at the front but the movement is a little less stable with a spider bar I assume because I've never used the bar in the video
I have issues with the bar sliding. Athletic tape around the bar helps. But I also use a high bar placement.
Buy a roll of anti slip tape. It has a granulated texture on it like a roof shingle. I put a strip of it on my bench and will most likely wrap 1 or 2 strips on this bar when I get it and if it gives me problems.
The width of his stance makes me very uncomfortable lmao
I believe thats an 85lb bar, so the last single was 315lbs
dude literally says it's a 65lb bar
Should not be putting all of his weight into that box.
