Dude... 🤟 I Iove you for this... (All the childhood failure erased in one vid..amazing) Trying to start learning the violin again... and this is an AMAZING VIDEO when I say I was neeever able to get the hand position down as a youth, I mean I really couldn’t get it down. God bless my teacher who was very old but I never caught the feeling of it, I also have long fingers. I watched one other vid before this and this one sealed it...
Hi Dr. Charles. I am an orchestra teacher in Michigan. We love your video! Could you possibly change the background of the last exercise #11? The flashing lights can cause seizures in students who are prone to them. Thank you!
Amazing exercices, really!!! There was one that I did find impossible though… lifting the pinky without holding the bow with the left hand… how do you do??? Whenever I do, the bow falls and my thumbs and all fingers slide and collapse with the bow 😭 Edit : after only 2 days I could do it difficultly. Now on day 4 I can do it easily!!! Thank you so much, I can testify that these workouts are really effective, in less than a week! I’m gonna add them to my daily practice :)
My elementary strings classes have been practicing along with your video for a month or so(I only see them once a week). We have always done bow games, but with the video playing, I can walk around and help them, and tune their instruments! Could you use music in keys conducive to tuning? ;-) I have to keep that "A" loud in my head! The kids are still working things out, but, it's really speeding up their understanding!
Thank you for the video! Can you share what software and tools you used to create these videos with the effects and backgrounds? I am trying to figure out what works best for making these kinds of videos for my students. Thank you.
@@TheOrchestraTeacher thank you for being so chill about it. I was having a rough day but I love the stew pots and spider crawls sorry for being so rude 😅
@jax We all have rough days, so no problem. It's a tough time to be a student and a teacher and there will always be ups and downs. The thing we all can do is to stay positive. I hope you will continue to get joy from learning and playing your instrument because it's something you'll be able to enjoy for your whole life, so consider it an investment in the future. I hope you have a GREAT day!!

I used Final Cut Pro for the Mac for my video editing. It comes with some backgrounds and others I found using google search.
Thanks. Did you use a green screen too?
Sure did. And I recorded on a Zoom Q8 camera.
