Hey thanks for showing! I also like to point out that at some point there were a bunch of very detailed 1/72 from brands like Cararama, Yatming, and Real-X that would give a high quality 1/64 a run for the money.
It took me long time to understand about scale until I see this. wow I learn a lot and happy to know what it is true scale. No one want to share with me, Lazy, act like hard to explain to me as I am person is deaf who tried to understand those scale. I truly thank you for video this David
The 1/43 scale is pretty good especially if your space is limited. Plus you have a very impressive range of cars. I'd say 1/43 is even the most popular scale. But if it is about the people who love details then 1/18 and 1/24 is the best choice. But these models are also taking a lot of space. I am currently at about 46 models in 1/18 and 2 more models should arrive soon, haha. A subscriber of mine has probably the biggest collection of 1/43 models. In the comments check for the guy Youngtimer Oldtimer and you will be impressed.
That’s very awesome to hear thanks for the insight. I always liked big cars with much detail so I prefer the bigger ones but 1/43 definitely seems like a great size to collect!
i like 1/36, like Corgi, & 1/24, i wish more companies did 1/24 scale, its a nice balance between size & detail, i find them harder to get though, specially here in the UK.
Similar to the scale sizes, the smaller cars are usually cheaper. 1/64 can range from $5 to $20. 1/36 are usually $5 to $10. 1/24 from $15 to $30+ and 1/18 from $30 to $300 + for high quality models. It also depends on the quality and brand of the diecast cars.
This is a great comparison, especially if you are a beginner in this collecting journey 😁👍 I will remain a 1/43 scale collector as I find it the perfect balance between details and dimensions of a model car 😁
I'm torn right now. I like 1/24 but they usually lack some details. 1/18 usually have the most detail but they are a bigger difference In size then I thought.
@@DiecastCarWorldDCW I've been looking at C8's, new Honda Civic Hatchbacks, and Nissan GTRs as one of my first cars to collect. I found a 1/18 scale Civic Hatchback already opened on eBay for $78 which I thought was way over priced. Where do you usually look for them?
@@DiecastCarWorldDCW And I might just go with a 1/18 scale but I'd like to buy a good looking 1/18 model and a good 1/24 model and see the differences In detail for myself. I have a 1/24 Gallardo that I bought a while back that looks okay but not the best quality.
so i have this 10cm figurine that i want to display in a parking garage. 1:18 motorcyle is the right size for him and i think maybe 1:24 car is also the perfect size if hes standing next to it. now which garage size should i get for him ? 1:18 or 1:24 garage ?
I found 1:18 and 1:43 to be mostly quite realistic and detailed, and 1:32 mostly toys? 1:24 is not expensive but can be well made and detailed? correct me if I'm wrong please!
It depends on what you want. How much space do you have? Do you like really small miniature cars or slightly bigger ones? More cars are available in 1/64 scale. However, 1/43 may have a bit more detail. Ask me any other questions. Hope this helps :)
DiecastCarWorld :: DCW Thanks for your feedback! i think ill do 1/64 if it has more cars cause thats my biggest concern. i also like the whimsical look of minature cars cause i had a few tomicas and hotwheels as a kid. id love to get into the higher end versions of models that size!
I'm a multi-scale collector from 1/72, 1/64, 1/43 ...and 1/18 and I think 1/43 is a good balance between detail and price but they are all getting expensive now to get into collecting, especially 1/43 from a reputable brands like Minichamps, Kyosho, and Autoart. After saying that 1/64 has come a long way (non Hot wheels) just look at Ebay on brands like MiniGT, Schuco, Tarmac Works, and off course if you are into Japanese cars, Inno64 just to name a fews. Good luck and enjoy this great hobby!
It’s a personal decision what scale do you like most how much room do you have for displaying them I enjoy building them except for a few of my favourite rides I build 1:24 sale plastic my favourite cars I will buy a bigger 1:16 scale die cast. and detail it out
is there a differnece between 1:36 and 1:32. There are some cars I like in 32 while others in 36. Im not sure which one to start getting/ if they be will fine together.
There is a slight size difference due to the manufacturer. They will be fine together if you don’t mind certain cars to be slightly wider / longer than other cars. For example, a coupe might be bigger than a SUV model.
I’m starting a Fast and Furious collection and right now I have 9 1:24 cars and am stuck if 1:24 is or will be valuable in the future the manufacturer is Jada is this a good start or would it be worth money bc it’s a movie franchise collection ??
I'm trying to figure out which one would be best to put figures like mega construx into. 1/18? or 1/24? They are about the size of an average teen or adult Thumb.
I collect 1:64 scale cars. There are a few cars that I want but, they are 1:43 scale. I don't know if it will look okay with that size difference, considering all my others are 1:64.

No body can play with them if scale is also used to determine weight
Real bugatti weight about 2500kg
Toy bugatti weight = 2500/64= 39.9 or 40 kg approx
So who gonna play with 40 kg toy car
Ahaha facts, it’s good that the scale only determines the size… if it was the weight too that would be nuts
