Over the years we’ve heard reflections and honesty from the cast on their opinions of this show coming to and end after 15 epic seasons.
From experiences during the shooting of the final season getting thrown for a loop with the pandy to the feedback from fans after its airing. We’ve heard and seen it all.
In this clip Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins share their thoughts around the show’s legacy and their experience with its ending.
Sure this won’t be the last time this topic is discussed but it’s pretty cool to see the evolution between 2020 and 2022.

First 5 years were the best ever, really quality TV. After that there were some good seasons but some bad, kinda up and down.
I binged 14 seasons then the last season one by one it was enjoyable to binge
i think it definitely got like really reallly dumb from like 11-15 but like it kinda makes because it was on for so long so how much more could they have doen to not make it repetitive or mediocre but i think personally season 15 was the worst especially the last episode they could have done a better job

I consider Dean to be one of the best characters on TV so for me the way he died was weak. I understand the ending from a story point of view and I certainly do not hate it but I was just disappointed with the whole of the last season. The actors killed it as always from a performance point of view but I feel they where not given strong enough material - the last season could have been so much more. I will always appreciate the commitment of the cast and crew. Super excited to see new projects!!
I was disappointed that Dean died fighting low grade vamps as well after all he's been through. But then as I thought about it, having his death in such a quiet peaceful setting after the vamps were taken care of gave the brothers and the audience a moment of reflection and acceptance. If he had died in some grand battle, it wouldn't have had the same sense of peace and the sadness of his death would've been overshadowed by the glory of ending a god level threat.
I think having a quiet moment with his brother was the way Dean would've wanted to go.
His death makes perfect sense because, much like Batman, Dean was never going to stop until he died. And like Batman, his death would have to be some random low stakes case where he would be just a little reckless at the worst possible time.
@@popeye697 I understand the ending. I do not have a problem with the fact that Dean died or the fact it was a random monster of the week. My problem is it was a bad monster of the week and the way he died could have been more meaningful - eg instead of being pushed onto the hook by the vampire - he could have fell on the hook to save the kids from the vampires. I do not hate the final like some do...I cried buckets but the whole of season fifteen just fell a bit flat for me despite all the cast killing their performances as always.
@@kimberleyrigg7503 I saw a post somewhere that someone had explained that Dean died the way he did because his plot armor was literally gone. With his "story concluded" with Chuck's de-powering, it was actually fitting that Dean died in that way.
yeah i totally agree man the last season could have been way better and i know the whole covid thing made it harder to do what they wanted to do, but i’d much rather have them delay and get it right then put out what they did because that last season and last episode was horrible

I can't say that I liked what happened but I respect the dedication everyone had for that show and I hope they come back one day. Supernatural will always be my favorite show
@@Shaggymoore4 I agree bud, I feel covid had a lot to do with the last two episodes, I would like a new season with say 10 episodes to really end the show, Supernatural is my favourite show, always will be
Supernatural is and always will be awesome. I bawled so bad on the finale. I kind of wish I had been watching it the whole time it was on, but by the time I got I to it I could just binge the whole thing.
There's been many memorable moments this series has brought. To go on for 15 years, the ups the downs, the good times and the bad. It may not the most perfect series, but life isn't perfect. Thank you for the awesome ride guys.

I can say two things as someone that considers Supernatural their favorite show of all time: I cried and mourned the end of the show. If and it appears when they announce a reboot… the amount of tears will not be matched before or ever again. Lol 😂💯

First time I ever teared up over a show was during Dean's death scene
I don't know how anyone COULD feel sad after all of the years they did this show. The amount of things that have to go right for a show to last more than a pilot are high... longer than the first season even more and longer than 2 years are almost astronomical.
To get to 15 years... when you remove Soap Operas, Sketch Comedy/Daily Talk Shows, Game Shows and Sports shows is only a handful. Most of those are shows like Sesame Street... remove the educational shows and you're down to about 2/3 of the shows with most being shows like The Simpsons... whittle the adult cartoons out of the mix and you pretty much have Supernatural, Law & Order and a bunch of shows that started in the 50s when there was NOTHING else on television.
15 years is incredible and to have it with MOST of the same cast is even crazier.
Love the show! It's best when it focuses a lot on the brothers. First I didn't like the ending, I had to grieve it... but I do love it now. Kinda like Jensen.

The first 5 seasons are great Eric kripke did a great job the gamble era season 6 and 7 definitely had some problems
The carter era was good Jeremy Carver was a great showrunner he literary save the show from getting canceled the show should had ended in season 11
Watch S6 again in a binge. I felt the same way initially, but when I watched it all at once (well over the course of a month), you can see the storylines converging. I do think the S7 premiere should've seen the S6 Finale, though. And instead of the lame Leviathans, they would've been better off writing Godstiel as the main big bad for S7. With the exception of James Patrick Stewart as Dick Roman, S7 was terrible. I did love Bobby's death episode in a story telling & film making way, even though I hated the idea in general. yeah, S7 was the worst season IMO
Mini-series or movie in a few years. Bribe M Shepard to join by telling him you'll put him on the poster (you can always take him off after you wrap ;) ). Finish the the credits with an easter egg appearance from the original Death, quietly hanging out in a booth in a trashy fast food restaurant.

I loved that Jensen needed to take in the finale just like the rest of us.
My own motto "meet people; make stuff" is an abstraction I got from the Winchester family business motto, and it's been a great guide through life. Great full interviews with everyone from the show, Michael, and this is a good clip. Brought back a lot of emotions. I'm 23 and started watching it when I was a young kid. I'm now realizing how important the show is to me and that I'm going to show my girlfriend this show now. 🙏
Tbh. I hate that Dean dies like that. BUT it was the perfect ending. He wanted to die throughout the whole show pretty much. He wanted peace, he got it. Sam wanted out, wanted a normal life, wanted peace. He got it.
The REAL travesty is how Cas died and Jack brought him back off screen and didnt bring back Crowley.

I thought the finale was a fantastic episode. I probably won't be able to sit through it again because it was a bit close to home. I see why people had a problem with the way Dean passed, I would have definitely preferred a more badass way for him to go out but... what are you gonna do? Every ending to a series has something the viewers would change.
I wish they would've brought back all the characters we grew to love over the years for one last goodbye. Covid had everything shut down so we got a 💩 ending

my issue was the antichrist becoming a new god and lucifer bc of that technically winning. bc rememebr they called his character the antichrist in a earlier season , unless chuck was if we go into gnosticisim the demiurge, ala a false god.
They never called him the antichrist except Dean in a mocking way in the beginning. Jesse was the antichrist in season 4 I believe. He was a hybrid demon/human, not some descendant of Lucifer.
I always loved the show. To much emphasis on Jack n marry. Not keen on prequel
Honestly, I don't understand how anyone is ok with the fact that Chuck was driving the boys all along and they had no special skills - so where is the David and Goliath? These guys we were following and identifying with were just pawns? Our heroes were at the mercy of Chuck so they still lose no matter what? I do NOT care what anyone from the show says, that was a horribly written conclusion without the characters in mind. A disservice to the whole show. I can write a better one and if anyone wants to challenge me on that...BRING...IT...ON...
The show ended at season 5. Anything else is just cheap fan fiction
