This game makes me miss my best friend who had moved away a few years ago we used to play this game together a lot back in the late 1990's/early 2000's. It was the ps1 version.
Michael Pierce i have so many memories like that. me and my longtime friend used to play 007 nightfire splitscreen, and we would take the lid off a big tupperwear container, prop it up with a chair infront of the tv so we couldnt screen peak.
seconds into watching my brain discovered an old memory filed away of all the times I played, the hours I poured into this game! I remember all the maps, the sounds, the quotes! levels like the swamp, the snow level, some level with a big alien crater I think.. oh wow. Im feeling so good!!

Glad I was part of something that others have fond memories of.
I used to play this game with my cousin all the time! I remember the top three games we used to play at my grandma's was this game, Buck Bumble, and Rush 2. Ah, good times :)

The option clicks were so satisfying. I remember playing the California courses all the time, the stupid UFO noise and the pimp steering wheel and being taken out by earthquakes

Still remember some of the 'Special' moves. If you hit up three times, then fired the rocket, it would stick to you and give you a speed boost. The mines could be made into little gravity field type things. Man I want to play this again.

The levels are creative and dazzling,like the frontier town which makes you feel like you're in a western movie. The game is a little too easy, but all in all,it's a great game.

Well let's just say that even Twisted Metal took a lot of influences from a lot of 80s and 90s arcade game, one of the most notable has to be Death Race and the others stuff like AutoDuel, Spy Hunter there's even a little of DeathTrack in there. But considering modern influences Twisted Metal did it first and it influenced the PC game Interstate '76 released in 97 and Vigilante 8 is an actual adaptation of that game for the consoles. Interstate 76 being more like a sim than arcade like TM is.

Thanks and yes I too hate watching gameplay videos with commentary because that just ruins the fun out of the video. If you see my previous video I do a test using a real N64 with S-Video which is the highest quality you can get from a N64 and it turned out great. If I do a video of a game that is non buggy or glitchy in emulators I will play in an emulator but if it is bad then I will use my real N64 which is what i used. I also give credits in the end of most of my video showing what I use.
Man I could play this for hours....now the frame rate gives me a horrible head ache...someone needs to remake it in hd and online multiplayer...I’d buy that

This game came out in 1998 and Twisted metal came out in 1995 from what I know so don't quote me but I'm sure Vigilante 8 got some ideas from it but I love V8 better.
If you guys wanna play this game on your Android just go to the app store and get a n64 emulator. Then Google n64 rooms and ur good to go. I have a controller for my Android so it makes it super badass for games. U can get one for 25 bucks on Amazon
