To explain the Ashrah vs Nitara rivalry*: Ashrah's sword (which she knows as "Kriss" but is actually called "Datusha") is a bloodthirsty blade forged in Vaeternus, and it manipulates the wielder into believing they're killing for a greater good (in Ashrah's case, that she's being purified). Back in Armageddon, Ashrah's whole reason to go after Blaze was that, by killing him, she'd have the power to kill Nitara and complete her ascension - which was a lie, Datusha just wanted to slay Nitara. I'm really happy they brought this relationship back, and considering how much both suffered in the original timeline, I hope Ashrah will stop being manipulated and they might become friends :D *all of this is based on the original timeline. However, judging by Nitara's reaction to Datusha, and their fight in the story mode, I think it's fair to assume they've kept at least most of the original lore.
