@@jyotiverma5384 Marxist concept of power was based on base and superstructure model. According to him, the power belongs to that section of class, who controls the political structure. And the class who controls economic structure eventually controls the political structure. In simple words, power is concentrated in hands of people controlling economic structure of the society. He said that in reality the power is in the hands of people who are economically dominant. But ideally,power should be distributed among the masses. If we talk about liberal view of power, they say that power lies with the people and government exercise delegated powers. For example, if we talk about John Locke, there he said that people has transferred all the rights to the govt except the right to life, right to liberty and right to property. Difference:- Marxists say that power SHOULD be in hands of people,but liberals say that power LIES with the people. Thus we can say that, Marxist ideal view of power is liberal real view of power.
