  • Home built Digger needs a homebuilt trailer - here's my answer to both.
Trailer uses on board air to tilt the deck as well as support the car chassis during transport. My buddies make fun of it being overbuilt - but that was all done with a purpose - I am very happy with the way it pulls!!!

Do you have measured drawings on this trailer? I would love to build the same for my rod. Great design and well manufactured. Let me know. Thanks Andy

I sketched it up in Autocad only - it's too narrow and a bit long for a door car. Everything (calculation wise) was set up around my dragster's weight. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Nice Trailer. Did you roll form the corners or weld them in. I looked for weld ins and can't find any. Also would like to know you got the latch, can't find anything like it.

Thomas, Sorry to have appeared to ignore your comment - obviously I don't keep up on this - my bad. On the slim chance your not done with your trailer yet - to fab the corners on mine - I cut out 3 of the 4 sides - leaving the outside flat with the top and bottom edge radius, then by hand I bend the outside radius. Next I take the piece I cut out and slice off the inner piece - again leaving the edge radius still on. I stick this in my press and bend it to match the inner radius - trim the length to fit and weld it in. Next you are left to put in the flat caps - I match the gage and puzzle a piece in to fit close - bevel all the edges to insure 100% penetration since I know I will grind them flat when done. I hope that makes sense. As for the latch - I don't know of any commercially available - I made that from scratch too. I hope this was helpful - sorry for taking so long to reply.
