Thank you for a great informative video. I have inly had the game a week or so, but every time I have tried it so far I have not been able to move the train, apart from in the academy. After watching this I am sure I will get it moving now.
Thanks mate. I've been playing lately in fixed camera mode in TSC. I thought it was locked but after watching your video researched why I could not look around. Soon learned that there is a conflict with OpenTrack head tracking program I've been using. Uninstalled OpenTrack and now I have a better camera in the cabin. Please share next time you post a video in case others have same problem. Thank you! Excellent tutorial by the way!
Hi Railsim Gamer, thank you very much for this clearly and great video 👌😉 I am an absolute beginner in Trainsim Classic and it helped me a lot to start and drive this train! I used to drive in Euro Truck Simulator. Also a very great game. 👍💪
Nice vid.But something that can be a pain on this game and don't seem to be an answer or haven't came across an answer to solve this problem and this is setting the speed. For example if the limit is 30mph,no combination of keys to press or some method of setting the speed, because either having to be under the speed or sometimes end up going overspeed. ????
Depending on the train, some trains are manufactured with speed control systems. However, not all trains have this so it can't be put in place if it doesn't really exist in real life. Some units created by Armstrong Powerhouse have this. However with anything it all comes down to experience and route knowledge, (knowing where speed restrictions are) Not really issue with the game as such more down to a player's understanding of what and where they are driving. Hope this helps :)
@railsimgamer6123 What PC set up are you running ? I recently moved back to PC gaming largely because of Train Sim,I'd been using Console for some years, but it don't offer the variety of routes etc can get on PC,I'm looking at covering UK routes and I've got all UK now off Steam site, wait for the sales of course.Still finding my way around different downloads,Steam seems the easiest but it don't have everything. I'm wanting a route for the Cambrian Coast Barmouth, used to walk that bridge when young kid see the trains come across.
@@Battamj I'm using a fairly average PC rig for Train Simulator Classic, don't use it alot for Train Sim World as I don't like the game as much. I use a wide range of sites for content, Steam, DP Simulation, Armstrong Powerhouse, Alan Thomson Simulation. Just to name a few. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 3.79 GHz / 32GB Ram
Do you have any thoughts on Train Sim World vs Train Sim Classic and the pros and cons of each? I've heard mixed opinions on which is better and it's leaving me completely torn. My main criteria is realism, especially how accurate the trains are. I want the closest experience to actually sitting in and controlling the real train - with all the real buttons/systems/etc modelled. I know TSW has the nice advantage of being able to walk around which adds to realism/immersion a bit, but I heard TSC has more mods so my thinking is TSC might have more a larger selection of realistically modelled/accurate trains available? But I have no idea if I'm correct on that or not.
Thanks for the question personally I prefer TSC due to the amount of mods and customisability there is with it. So if your after photorealistic finish I would say Train Sim World as it uses a different renderer. However with this sounds can be questionable. Functionality in the trains can be good with a lot of interactive areas such as trip switches etc . With TSC there are a lot of add one from a lot of different developers, sounds can be also questionable however a lot of third parties now make packs to combat bad sounds such as Armstrong powerhouse or just trains. It's not so photo realistic and is focused more on the train then the environment. But my go to is still TSC as the limits or what you can do including content building is unlimited
Tsc is best sim for train driving trainz serie is better for route building . Train Sim World too few routes and the more realistic gfx get the game stuck in the uncanny valley as example the passangers still look like stif robots at best when they boarded the trains and walk on the platforms , the abstracted soilution in tsc is then less jarring.just my 2 cnts ;)
Hi bro. Like on your video, but sorry if i can't see but how the key for decrease the brake ??? The ' is to up, but how the key turn down ?? I tried everything, edited the inputmaster files, converted the .bin files my way, but none of them work. I can only do it with the mouse. Hugs from Rio de Janeiro \o
So to lower your break it's the :; semi colon colon key, on trains with a separate brake handle, and D on trains with a combined break and acceleration handle :) happy simming
@@ecosdigitaisSadly I wouldn't know how these two keyboards overlap, might be worth having a Google, or even having a read in to the train sim classic documentation.

thx great video, can you do one for steamtrains too?
It's in the pipeline, watch this space :)
@@railsimgamer6123 looking forward to that, thx for the reply.
Why is some of this stuff not covered in academy. Like the 2 buzzes between the guard and driver??
I often think that, thought I would try and fill in the gaps

How do I move the inside camera with mouse? it wont let me.
Hold the left mouse button and drag, however this only works on the cab view and only a select few passenger views
25 minutes of black screen.
There was a really odd error when this was made, we have since corrected this in our other content
