Riot is like finally finding your way out of hell and instead of arriving to a party you just walk around a city watching everyone live their normal life and even though some would says it boring and mundane you can't help but think how much sweeter a normal way of life is
Scott McConnell bro I’m tearing up at the fact someone else fees this way
I love the simple life. Too bad everyone about money now
411ward same and everyone obsesses about shit that won’t matter when you’re dead. Enjoy yourself fuck this material shit go out meet people eat good food fuck and experience new things

K01clrkK™ exactly... disappointed lol. I feel like he could have done better but that’s just me.
holy fuck yall some squares
Damn, this gives me chills. This is that "coming out the other side of a hella dark place" music. Like the end of a movie that doesn't necessarily have a happy ending, but it's the best it's ever gonna be. Powerful work, thank you brother Earl.
you nailed it!

best comment I've seen in a while
Super well said
This album was dusty, but in the best way possible
I'mAGrayRock this what I been tryna say ✍🏻
“Wocky” is a better word
Too fresh to collect dust!!
Michael Ford tf is “wocky”?
glitchy, gritty, dusty, experimental, old new
This track resolves the album perfectly. The entire time there is so much tension and a feeling of not knowing where to go or where the album is gonna go and then this track gives a sense of completion, satisfaction, and understanding for what earl is feeling. I'm glad it had no lyrics because the instrumental itself probably did more than words could do
This is a perfect explanation. This is honestly one of the best album closers I've heard
You're right on point dude.
It's super satisfying. It's almost like everything just lifted off my shoulders.
Suphan
exactly
I agree, this is the best outro for an album
This song is like a neutral ending, you’re happy because everybody is okay but you’re also sad because things could be better.
since the song ends unfinished it feels like theres more you didn’t do
I’m going through something tough right now and honestly this was the best comment I’ve read, thank you
@@michaelrodriguez6039 Some Rap Songs is there for you when nobody else is. Whatever you’re going through is temporary but music will be here to speak through the darkest parts of life.

Very beautiful
riot by hugh masekela
His uncle
I almost threw myself down the bridge today to end it all, I had no care at all for anyone. Right then i was smiling at the absurdity of everything and as i was about to leave it all, I got reminded of this song which depicted the sillyness and freedom i was feeling in that moment. I could've done it, but i did not. The song ended in my head once I left the bridge, and so Im back to feeling terrible again.
This is just me throwing à bottle in the internet ocean, but if you ever come to read this, I was there, where you are at now.
If your brain offers the utterly unacceptable as the most logical solution, then you know your compasse is completely off.
Focus on self-care, sleep early and in a good place, eat better and with people never alone. Accept that this is where you are now, don't be ashamed of it or scared of the future. Make sure today is good in the most modest of ways. Seek help from the one that trained to offer help. Accept what the offer knowing it is insufficient or ill-adapted. Fail Forward always
This alone just feels like an incredible victory lap for earl. Like earl finally got this shi off his chest and now he can rest, truly become a new person after all of the things he’s been through in the past years. When the horn on this track come in, it feels like Rocky cheering after running up all those stairs. I know this is a weird interpretation on this but I’m really happy for earl and this album is a true work of art
Sowun Was thanking this. The whole album, he's fighting with demons and this is like a brief breath of relief at the end.
Sowun it feels like the end of a story. Not happy, not sad. But like everything is okay 👌🏾
Your song makes more sense interpreting the song . I heard the Angry Beavers theme.
I got the same idea , it's so true

This instrumental is a sample from Riot, Bra Hugh Masekela, a South African jazz legend who happens to be Earl's uncle. Boy is paying homage
Riot is the ending soundtrack of this sad show named: "life"
💯
Tell me why tf I was looking for the ending to a show called life

This song captures a state of mind between happiness and sadness perfectly, like if you feel really guilty about something and your friend still forgives you
This dude just threw me through this emotional rollercoaster of an album and this song feels like getting coffee the next morning
Getting breakfast with your loved one after you spent all night tripping and crying and laughing through the rough parts together watching the sun come up just grateful to be alive.
It’s been a pleasure waiting with you all ❤️
Aaron of Everything It was soooooo worth it.
Real music is finally back in my life. God bless everyone 🔥
WhoGotTheHenny Bless up^^^
This song makes me feel like everything's gonna be okay.
Legit man.
Riot is honestly such an comforting track, like it's saying that everythings gonna be alright. You can move on
It’s like the hero goes through hell and when it’s all over, he sits and looks at the destruction.
Catching his breath
sorta makes me think of the ending to fallout 1 in a way.
God bless all you earl fans for sticking around this long and god bless the new ones who've hopped along
Best Outro Earl is a Genius
Rest In Peace Hugh Masekela... I cant even put into words how this ending makes me feel man... its like the light at the end of your deepest tunnel, given to you by your beloved dead. It makes me feel like Earl really hit a point of resolution & triumph after spewing out how he's felt throughout the rest of the album.
Something tells me Earl is only just getting started artistically
I think Riot! is after the hard times. Yeah it was hard and you'll probably go through tougher times in the future, but you lived. You survived and you're going to keep living, God willing.
sounds like that "everything gonna be aight" music. it's more than 1 year and still gives me chill everytime.
Riot! Was the sound of reason telling me to keep moving even when faced against my wicked ways. May we do our best day to day stay blessed everyone.
Okay but who tf would dislike this?!?!

Its like making memories with your high school friends and getting nostalgia from th old memories yall made, thank you
This was in the new TMNT movie ➕
FUCK WAS IT RLLY
This song is literally better than anything youndboy will ever put out, and there’s not one word in this song.
I know this has a really uplifting and positive tone to it but I can’t help but notice that little creepy breakdown at the end. I interpret it as him finding his way out but still having the “hell” he experienced in the back of his mind. He’s successfully accepted it as being a part of him, so it won’t bother him moving forward. Amazing closer to an even more amazing album!
It goes well with the album cover
Same feelings
this song gives me the most unexplainable feeling I fuckin' love this track
The song is like you been through a rough day. Everything seems like theres no ending, or at least peaceful. Until, you listen to this song. Everything feels like, "Hey, its ok. Things will get better." The ending of this album feels like hopeful view on life. Thank You Earl for making it. Im getting through my ups and downs with this.
ever just listen to an entire album at 3:00 am
i meannnn
I did the first time
This is still probably my favourite outro song of all time, never fails to make me tear up
this one makes me think about my life- i want this to be played at my funeral. shit gets me deep into my emotions
I was getting into this album during the same period that both of my grandparents passed away, and I remember visiting them in the hospital and going home humming this melody constantly. I think it was my way of dealing with grief but also trying to get my mind away from the fact that I was losing people that were present during all my life. This melody became a mantra for me and till this day when I listen to Riot it reminds me of them, but the upbeat melody somehow makes me think that they are in a better place and not in pain anymore
They are brother, amen and wish you not only a good life but strength to handle it when it gets tough.
there are sadder songs on this album. but this the shit that brings me to tears
I played this song at the end of the worst year of my life (2019) and now everytime something ends a play this. It's perfect. Just put it on repeat a couple times and the setting is right.
Earl vocals are heavenly here
This song that he cut up for this instrumental is also called "Riot" and it is by Hugh Masekela, who is Earl's uncle (a close friend of Earl's father). Earl's father passed in January, and his uncle passed two weeks later. This song is beautiful not just by itself, but as a tribute song as well. What an amazing album ❤️
Loved every second of this album. Thanks earl
Gilbert Godfrey Its fucking HOT
iv heard a song similar like this in a early 2000’s kids show id watch as a kid i now cant find so when i heard this all the nostalgia came back
I don't know how I got addicted to an interlude
This track seems to summarize that despite the low points he's still moving along and doing alright.
That was my impression.
the greatest ending to any album ever absolute masterpeice
The world would be much different if Earl rapped over this.

One of the sweetest minutes I’ve ever heard

John doe thats why its thr last song...
yeah earl should have made it the outro to the album or somethin
I was just casually browsing through this album, listening to the other songs. halfway through I said aloud to myself "Whats going on here?" I was confused to the style and instrumentals of all the tracks. I felt like I was missing something. Then this beauty came on and I froze. I stopped whatever I was doing and just listened, closer than I ever have before. somehow I just understood whats going on and It legit almost brought me to tears.
Bravo Earl, Bravo
That hey is heavenly

this is the single best song ever made
this song provokes a certain level of thought i usually dont find in instrumental music
I love the theme of this album...it’s like...old and dusty but refreshing. It has a fallout 3 vibe in a way. Like-these songs could come on the radio and it’ll fit in
Jared Leonard Was thinking this exactly. The beats sound like they're being played off a vinyl.
You couldn’t have said it better, wow.
this album would make no sense in fallout what are you smoking?
Josh Elderkin I’m talkin about the vibe that it gives off
Jared Leonard maybe this song but theres nothing close to grungy messily mixed hip hop in a world where only music from the 50s and before exists lol
