  • As I have mentioned before, Harlow is close to finishing her “in training” phase. She is just a few months shy of turning two, and I’ve been training her since she was 8 weeks old. Gosh, she has made me so proud! However, service dog training never truly ends because there is always going to be upkeep with established skills. That is why we run through commands and tasks every day, to make sure she stays sharp. I’m so impressed with the young adult she is becoming, but she will always be my silly pup. Thank you for joining us on our adventure!

Hello Jaquie! I just found your channel last week and I am so happy I did! I am 32 and I was born with a bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta and am homebound a majority of my life due to chronic pain and fatigue. It's nice to know that there is someone else who can relate and who knows the struggles we face everyday living with a chronic illness. It's easy to become isolated when you are home a majority of your life and it's really nice to be able to reach out to others who understand. Your service dog is adorable! Anyway, just wanted to say hello and tell you thank you for sharing your life with us! ❤

Your dog is the most precious thing I have ever seen. Especially the part where she brought your shoe. The most precious. And I hope you get better, seeing your conditions I cant help but think how we take things for granted like our health. And you are lucky to have such loving people around you to be there for you too. I pray for you everyday. You are such a sweet person.

Hi! I'm new to your channel. I discovered it last night and have watched a bunch of your videos. I really admire the fact that even when you're not feeling well, you still clean your house, make meals for you and Judd (or just for Judd if you feel like you can't eat) run errands, prepare Harlow's raw meals, etc. It's great how self-reliant you are and I also think Judd is such an awesome guy the way he takes care of you when you need help, and how he keeps such a positive attitude. How long have you guys been together?

I've found that several medications I take or have taken have caused me to loose hair more than normal aswell as the quality of products I put in it. It might help you if possible or you don't already to put nourishing oils in it to sit before showering once a week and a tiny bit after showers with damp hair aswell as seeing if you can find a gentler routine for brushing your hair that works for you.

Jacquie, I'm looking into getting my first mobility (maybe anxiety) service dog. I live in Florida as well. It would be best for me to get a program-trained dog. Are there any places you would recommend and advice for me? Everything I find when I research what to look for (red flags, concerns, etc) brings up the fake dog registries and what to do to "get your pet certified".

Also how did you find out about your gastroparesis? You explained it a little more in depth one video and i noticed I struggle with similar things like my stomach taking a very long time to empty, getting nauseous very easily, and not being able to eat very much. I know at this point we don't have anything that can really be done to help alleviate the symptoms of that type of issues long term, but it'd help to know exactly what my issue is. I'm currently diagnosed with IBS, but I don't feel like it really explains hardly any of the symptoms I find I have. Is there anything I can do to try and see if I might have something like gastroparesis during long waits in between GI doctor appointments before I bring it up to him so I can be better prepared?

    • @ecologist_to_be

      Natalie Ramsey
      Sarah Camley:
I have chronic pain (NDPH, osteoarthritis/osteopenia, adrenal problems... etc) along with Gastroparesis, POTS, MTHFR homozygous and other autoimmune problems GP is typically Dx by a gastric emptying study; I got mine done by Cleveland Clinic- basically they have you eat a breakfast that they inject a radioactive tracer in it and an x ray is able to follow how long the tracer takes to leave the stomach. I know that GP is one of many complications of my gene mutation too, same with NDPH, POTS and others... they all seem to bounce off one another. I hope you are all able to find some peace and comfort, if you ever need to talk or have any questions im always here for anyone.

Carefull with selfdiagnosing since this can be harmfull, but you can bring it up to your doctor. If you ever doubt any diagnoses (or lack of diagnoses) your doctor has given, you can always go for a second opinion with an other doctor or even a specialist.

Air Filters: I love 3m Brand Filtrete Healthy Living (purple wrapper). They are expensive ($20) but last three months. Wall Mart in store is where I have found the best price. I'm making a separate filter/fan box that used a 20x25x4 filter for my work shop (I need to make a video and post that one. All my video's are metal work/machining).

I have POTS and I'm 15 years old, I used to play softball but now I can't and even sometimes standing for me can trigger my heart. I definitely don't have it as bad as you which I'm thankful for but it's hard for me. I constantly have heart palpitations and heat triggers it also. I have a 30 day heart monitor on me right now to see if anything that is happening to me is dangerous or if it normal. Ugh it's so hard :(

Mekayla Edds use a treat as a lure, bring the treat straight down under their face, click and treat as soon as the front end goes down or elbows hit the floor. repeat a lot.
slowly add the word with the click.
      slowly work out the click.
      slowly work out the treat.
      BOOM. Namaste:)
