Fifa 20 was my very first FUT experience in the game. Hands down, the best pack opening animation of them all. The build up of the opening, the decoration of the tunnel, the lovely flares on the very beginning showing if you got a promo card or not. Absolutely lovely. I would wish to have a mix of this year's card designs and FIFA 20 pack opening animation. Would be sick

Nep just went from my first FIFA aged 8, all the way to FIFA 23 aged 22. With each new pack animation I unlock distinct memories from those years. 2023 really is the EOAE.
Fifa 20 was the best. The tunnel with the flares then the flag was a really nice build up. Fifa 22 and 23 were the worst. In Fifa 23 I have to mute cause you can hear it by the sound if its a walkout or not, that just kills the hype for me. Even the animations are going downhill EA smh..

The training cards on Fifa 09 were permanent. I had a 99 overall Henry and 99 Dinho up front, but if your contract went to 0...you lost the card. Stakes were high

Toss up vetween 19 and 20. 20 maybe edges it. But both were insane. Totally agree with todays animation. It looks gpod in the sense that alot of work has went into it, but theres little excitement as you know straight away what you get. I would love to see more of a phased pack animation in EA 24.
All I know is that when they started doing walkouts in FIFA17, suddenly I found myself looking up pack openings on UA-cam because it was so cool and I really wanted to see what a big time player walkout looked like
The way I could tell if a pack in FIFA 22 was a walkout was by the audio, just before the pack is opened you could hear a louder flare if it was a walkout
The pause on FIFA 17 caused so much hype, seeing the blue at the side of the 3D card on FIFA 18 also brought so much hype. The FIFA 19 EA Sports logo was also pretty sick. Nothing beats the tunnel animations though, so so good. FIFA 22 arguably has the worst of the modern day FIFA’s.
another great video nep! FIFA 12/13 #1 FIFA 20 #2 FIFA 23 #3 for me. FIFA 12 is just classic for me. FIFA 20 could easily move to #1. The TOTY animation with the carpet was spectacular. FIFA 23 is also really nice because of the firework and lightshow it gives

Was fifa 23 also the first time the number grew to the rating the card was? I personally like that added detail as it gave some anticipation for what the number could go up to haha
