Hubby just bought me the 2012 premium package Buick Enclave last week. We just took it for its first road trip to Disneyland for the leap day promotion and I couldn't be happier with this vehicle. Packed car and all our luggage and it performed perfect and we were all comfy! LOVE my vehicle.
got rid of an M class Mercedes for it, I was floored by the standard options to value. the Enclave is 10 times quieter inside than the Benz ever was. Not to mention Buick gave me a 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and 100,000 miles powertrain warranty. I always thought Buick's were for old people who like velour seats and chrome, until I saw their new line of cars. Im not old yet, but this will not be the last Buick I buy.
I just bought one today Cream colored dream car...its not a guzzler and not too big I think Ladies should drive midsize SUV's least That's what I like my baby is 9 years old but drives like a Newborn...Drive safe fellow drivers...be 👍
Elizabeth, the Enclave is a full-sized 3 row crossover that shares a bodystyling with the Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia. It's a bargain when it compares to the Audi Q Series or Infiniti QX.
Very nice car and like the new styling of the Buicks. Will be picking up my new/used car today in silver. Great review, I loved how it handled on my test drive yesterday and really like the luxury feel without all the cost. Getting mine for just under 10k.

The car is honestly a boat with not a lot to love when the competition has so much more to offer as far as appearance goes, and the features offered are often standard at this price range. Great review as usual though, and Elizabeth sounds pretty comfortable in front of the camera!
A boat? Did you drive it with a 20" steel rim with 2wd? AWD 19" aluminum alloy wheels give it the sporty stabiity you need for this light truck frame. It also gives it a more supportive shock absorbancy, with less torgue needed to be delivered to the wheels, which gives you the best combo possible with a V6 VVT pushing a two and half ton vehicle, with seating for 7/8.
You should have used the Ross Rapoport rating system to measure the trunk space! i give the Buick's trunk a 3 Ross rating maybe 3 and half Ross tops : )
I like the Rendezvous better becuase the Enclave is like a wagon/Jelly bean shape. The Rendezvous allows you take take out the seats any time. But what I dont like about the Rendezvous is that the dashboard looks cheap but everything else looks great.
@thebigwarthog Actually, they already do! Diesel Wranglers are made in the US alongside the ones sold here, but sold in Europe and elsewhere. They also made a diesel PT Cruiser. We did get the diesel Liberty about five years ago. All three use the same engine. Ford's European arm makes plenty of diesel cars, vans and even SUV's. And GM even used to make a diesel Suburban but dropped it. Now the trick is to get them to sell them over here
Great review and a beautiful reviewer!! I think the enclave needs more power under the hood! 288 hp in a vehicle with this size and weight should have something like 300 to 350 lb ft to go with it. I like it but if I need a car that does what the enclave does I would get the Audi Q7
I feel like Roadfly is my single father, he brought home emme and I loved her. Now he's dating a new woman. Cant say if I like her yet. Luckily my uncle Ross visits from time to time. Basically what im saying is, Roadly can you give your son some stability.
@bottomlayer im sure it opens but just a normal moon roof,toyota and my scion Tc have a large glass section that slide back far, that big buick should have a big open roof.
@bottomlayer we are getting the diesel cruze in i think in 2012 or 2013 and they are talking about hitting 50mpg highway, insane mpgs for a non-hybrid. also rumors for a diesel wrangler in 2013. fingers crossed

Idk if you'll see this lol but those are optional add ons, including the bose sound system and some other little ones, if you have the cxl 2 all of the main parts are the same but there's loads of additional add ons that previous owners (or you if you got it new) could pick from, including awd lol I got mine used 2 years ago (1 owner:)) and the ONLY thing they cheaped out on was all wheel drive which I wish I had lol
These are really a step up from the sister cars they use but what shitty gas mileage from that engine. They need to work on that or opt for the twin turbo used in the caddys now.

my mom and dad actually own one of these and... I LOVE RIDING IN IT like for real its one of the best luxury crossovers that you can get for under 50k
people are always talking about GM's onstar but they forget Ford has a similar system and it's free for life

Enclave's are so nice, i love my Acadia SLT but i really wanted the dual sunroof but sadly mine is not equipped :(

@fkwk2y The only thing comparable to this that Toyota makes is the Highlander. The Enclave offers a much more luxurious driving experience, though.
US auto makers should def consider making diesel SUVs since they use less fuel and have more torque.
