- In this video, I start a new college football what if series. I look back to the huge controversy of last season which was Florida State getting left out of the playoffs, a lot of things would be different if Jordan Travis never got injured.

I still wasnt sold on FSU even with Travis. They barely got past a mediocre Boston College team, struggled to put down mediocre Duke and Miami teams at home, and really didn't look elite outside the LSU game. But if Travis didn't get hurt, they 100% would've got in. And like you said, thar bowl performance kinda justified them being left out. But you have to feel sorry for FSU.
Yeah, any fan base would go crazy if their undefeated p5 team got left out, but Florida State fans are still crying about it to this day.

You could say that about every single team except for Michigan. Michigan was the clear cut best team the whole year I thought. But I also thought FSU was the second best team.
Even if Florida State gets into the playoffs this season they are not winning the National Championship anyway
I guess we'll see.
I was concerned when Florida State went down 13-0 to .500 FCS team North Alabama. If it was Bama in that situation, everyone would be talking about it.
