unless this is a live orchestra im kinda baffled on how this even happens. In theory sound tech should really only have the music they were given loaded for the show.
Thats what tech rehearsal is for, to work out the bugs. Maybe the cue wasn’t programmed correctly, maybe the file was changed but the cue list wasn’t updated, could be many reasons why. It’s not like they just have all the cues loaded on to ITunes
@Xloi63 That's why I'm intrigued as to what exactly happened, because like you said, there would have been a tech rehearsal. Just an interesting thought is all.
One time, my group had 3 songs back to back, and the last show our song teacher was there, because she would stop teaching at that school, the sound guy forgot the second and best song
I'm in music! And for you to switch your tempo and go with it means you know your part well! Sometimes when I'm playing the conductor will either get lost in the music or will speed up the tempo or slow it down because they aren't the one that's supposed to be conducting it and they're covering for another conductor and you just have to be able to adapt to it really quick. I mean just recently when I was playing my Christmas music in a run-through at rehearsal, the director completely got lost in the music and was like 15 measures behind when she figured out that she was in the wrong spot and me and everybody else. We were just kind of listening around trying to make sure we knew we were going the right speed and in the right place together. And we actually ended up finishing the song together at the rehearsal which is pretty cool!
Some of the orchestras in Russia have dancers that want to go soooo slow it’s weird. I think because they emphasize high legs and long balances and less quick movements (depends of the dancer of course) I wonder if this was an orchestration for Alina Somova
In marching band, the drumline always has to keep tempo with the drum major just in case they can’t see the drum major. The amount of times there has been a tear between tempo with the drum major and the drum line 😭😭 we had to keep up or slow wayyy down sometimes
Hate this, sometimes even conductors decide to ignore everything agreed and just play stupidly fast because they want to go home. Well done for sticking it through.
Yeah, unfortunately that can happen. If it recorded music, then it’s the people working in the sound booth. But if it’s a live orchestra, then it’s the conductor’s error.
Omg I did the nutcracker and this girl with us had a solo and fell and she was screaming and her kneecap got dislodged almost all the way around and a doctor from the audience had to come up and put it back in place. AND it was the last show. She’s a junior and I don’t think she’ll be able to dance again.
During tech - you should stop and correct them IMMEDIATELY. That's what tech is for....even a run through, I would stop them. Now, if that was a PERFORMANCE...OK, the show must go on.
the fact that you changed your tempo on stage is just so mind blowing. you didn’t even rush!! great job!
It's called dancing to the music. It's hard, but it has to be done.
@@catladyfromky4142it’s still very impressive
its rlly not mind blowing😭this is what everyone is taught to do
@@gobsmryes but it’s IMPRESSIVE because it’s a so called skill
@@gobsmrGoing a slower speed that what you’re used to is actually very impressive.
Looked great either way. Good job with continuing on with the show.
If you read the title it was just a tech rehearsal 😊
As a tec.... I wish it was that easy. I get handed a messy thumb drive with unexplained file systems most the time haha.
Okayyy...but the PROFESSIONALISM ✨️✨️
Thank you!!!❤
I'm a circus artist and i had the tech people play the entirely wrong song on stage 2 years ago. Still went with it because it was live

As a musician I would find it even more unbelievable if a live orchestra did that
One time, my group had 3 songs back to back, and the last show our song teacher was there, because she would stop teaching at that school, the sound guy forgot the second and best song
@gaeapplehairline1566 the title of the video is "good thing this was a tech rehearsal" xD
Excellent Excellent. You mastered the situation very well
Holding all the positions tho 😭

My school band just played all the nutcracker songs at our winter concert and now I keep getting this stuff on my fyp
I went to the Nutcracker and it was really beautiful I loved it❤

I SAW THE FINNS OTHER POV ON TIKTOK HELP
The signs if a confident stage performance.

My Sugarplum was roughly this speed and it felt too fast...

Did you go to Hull College or soemthing?Bevause that’s where I went to perform my ahow
I do not know English, I am watching a Vpn video.
Do the tech rehearsals have an audience?
Jesus loves you all so much He laid down His life for us on the cross ❤
FR INNIT
It sucks when music is too slow.
If this were a live show I would get just going with it, but if it’s a tech rehearsal why not stop and correct it???
Why is it so slow????
Ohhh girl, that's painfully slow! Your muscles and body must be twice as sore and exhausted after having to dance this so slowly!
Wait I think was this
Oh, No!! So, excruiatingly painful. Ugh!!!
Oh no
D

Hitting the “PLAY” button of a pre-recorded trac is not “live theatre”.
It's a TECH rehearsal. She should have stopped so they could fix the TECH problem. That's the point of a tech rehearsal.
