Yeah. I actually own a pair and a letter comes with it telling you NOT to do that. It's a safety precaution not something that will 100% save you. And when you buy it through amazon, they also send you an email to point that out.

I'm pretty sure they use the word "resistant" because it doesn't promise that you won't cut your fingers off. I worked with these in a kitchen, and we were taught that they don't prevent all cuts.

They had a chance to show pancakes, eggs, etc in that flip pan but decide to show a steak 😑 something that can easily be flipped with a fork.
