It’s awesome how many projects are going at once-and you aren’t spending an immense amount of time trying to control the kids’ noise and make sure they’re being “good”! I love the atmosphere. And kitty condos are the best!

It’s called a molcajete (mortar and pestle). Every time you use it it gets seasoned and helps flavor other dishes. We used to have one from my great great grandma. It gets better with age.

Many people tend to continue doing what they've done in the past. Switching to rabbit ia an example of that. Our eating habits are pretty well set -- only more adventurous (or disciplined people) have much change in their diets. I agree with the comment below, many people think of rabbits as pets. Also, there are several children stories about rabbits where one feels kindly toward the rabbit. In my childhood, the only chicken story I recall was the Little Red Hen.

I use to cook rabbit. I would salt and pepper it. Roll in flour and brown in skillet with a little oil. I would then put it in a casserole dish with a cup of orange juice in the bottom and slices of orange placed on the rabbit. I would cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes to one hour at 350 degrees.

Oh you could puree the bell pepper and hot peppers w garlic and onion salt/pepper (herbs if you feel fancy) to make a paste. Then sautee for a smidge. You can add to pasta sauce and you could spread on ie the baguette as a sandwich spread or put on eggs. Use as a rub on a roast (beef or chicken)

Ouch, your poor thumb! I did a similar thing this summer but it was my index finger. I cut into my nail and a chunk of flesh (🤢) while chopping vegetables (and not paying attention!). It was so painful I had to lie down on the floor for like 10 minutes. I used bandaids and these little (for lack of a better term) finger condoms to protect the wound, but I wish I had had one of those splints that you have because I was constantly whacking my finger on things (followed by colorful language) despite trying to be careful. I think it took about three weeks before it was fully healed, but to be honest I think I’m still healing from the nerve damage because it still hurts like there’s an open wound there when I hit it the wrong way. That is all to say, I literally feel your pain, Megan!

@@lelanoel3499 I'm pretty sure it was one of the neighbors meat rabbits. My dad wanted to raise meat rabbits so he tested us to see if we would eat it. The experiment failed miserably, lol

@@lelanoel3499 Yep, my mom used to soak wild rabbit in vinegar for a few hours to alleviate the gamy flavor a bit. I love both wild and raised though I prefer tame if it's just fried. Any soup, casserole, etc I'm good with wild.

Used band-aids in the pool are still worse than a used bandage at Walmart.
