Recently had my left leg amputated above knee do to chronic osteomyelitis. Waiting to get stump in shaper and then fitted for prosthetic. Hanger will be doing all these thing`s in the coming week`s or month`s. Very excited to get back to walking and living life again.
No way you got to meet Kevin Carroll! He is such an amazing prosthetist. I was so fortunate to meet him when he came to the 🇬🇧 he is so empowering and his work in developing adjustable sockets that maintain muscle strength in your residual limb is 👌🏻 I’m so fortunate that my socket has allowed my muscles to grow post chop compared to the traditional bucket socket. Watching you having a race gave me goosebumps 💪🏻 I really hope you loved it there and had a blast swapping tips and tricks with fellow ampies 🤗🇬🇧 your lovely new blade needs a ossur leg bag 😉🤗
