The information you share matches what i done with my research. Originally, i was researching the laws / rights when talking to the constables. Now i am more interested how the system works.
hey thanks ....its a good informative podcast....i wanna ask if someone came here in Canada as refugee immigrant ...after getting PR or approval for PR.... can go police ???
I have a couple questions - where can I get an OACP certificate ?because I was told you need one to work in the police force -What website do I apply? -What do you need to apply? -Do I need to go to school to become an officer?
Minimum 18 years of age Fluency in English Good driving record Be in excellent health Have good character Canadian high school diploma or equivalent Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Valid current standard first aid / CPR “C” certification Class 'G' driver's license, full driving privileges, and a maximum of 6 demerit points
Oh wow, Im actually scared for this one.. I messaged the recruitment center about this, didnt get an answer back yet. Im planning to get my PR and apply ASAP after getting myself settled. It just sounds crazy that I could get my PR from outside of the country (spouse sponsorship) and apply for police few months after arriving.@@zakr1ya

I heard that one cannot apply for policing right after PR . Those who get PR 3 years before only those can apply is it true ??
Never heard of any such requirement. Neither Our guest mentioned it in the detailed interview
Thanks a lot I guess this criteria is for RCMP
That’s true for RCMP but not for a lot of municipal police services.

@@MadafakaWolfMenremember that applying doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be selected. They may also look at that in their vetting process.
