Im not sure that’s what’s happening. We are just deficit spending. Plus the taxing would not be on the poor people getting it. Anyways, we haven’t raised taxes significantly for years, even though we continue to deficit spend. This is because deficit spending, so far has absolutely no consequencesz

Robert Fantazo only reason I could see people being mad would be because they most likely paid those taxes and don’t get a cent out of it. I make around 110k a year with 2 kids and pay about 20k a year in taxes and usually get back about 2k. Most people don’t pay close to that but get back 2 or even 3 times what I do. Be easier to cut out the middle man (irs) and just cut someone a check once a year.
Ya, like you have a higher tax rate than almost everyone but never get any sort of anything ever from the government like so so many. But hey, work and do well so you can keep paying for those who don't

I also live on my SSI disability. I don't file either. I'm paralyzed on the right side of my body, seizures, muscle spasms, & so on but my question is why do I deserve a check? This virus don't effect me. I appreciate the money if I get it but why do people that are on disability wanting that check when it doesn't effect us?
@@z33andme71 the purpose of the check is to spend it towards your local stores, invest, pay bills, etc. It is meant to help boost the economy, hence stimulus check to help stimulate, instead of seeing your local business shut down for good. If you still feel at unease, there are plenty of local hospitals and charity organizations that could use your donation to help fight this virus.

I'm sorry you are on disability I'm sure it sucks but your financial situation did not change. You will not miss a payment. This was designed to assist those who were forced to leave their jobs this losing their source of income... You didn't lose anything.

@@TheresaPowers it was gona be 2 but it didnt sit to well with the Democrats. So its gonna be just 1 check for sure.
It was originally two $1200. Payments. The dems took that away and added an extra benefit to unemployment which goes through the state.
Some people rather have a 600$ added on top of their unemployment insurance benefits weekly for 4 months until the virus controlled then rather then having 2 identical checks for 2 months.

So you are getting a disability check and a ssi check from the husband... You were not affected by this at all. You will still get a check next month just like you did last month. It was designed to help those who were forced to leave a job and their only source of income.

Another video and article stated that SSI recipients do not get the check. SSDI get it.

I am 68, a U.S.Navy Vietnam Era Vet, I'm semi retired, at 65. All this talk about the checks that we are all to get. First it started out as being $1000 then it changed to $1200. Based on income it looks like I'll get only $600. When I returned to civilian back in 1976, one could NOT say anything about what we went thru, and survived. I have been sworn at, spit on, called all sorts of really bad names. I've been passed over for advancement, ridiculed, and just in general screwed with because of Military Service during the Vietnam Era. Now, today, I see and hear the the U.S. has sort of tried to turnaround all of the negative B.S. that has went on for all these years. I did 6 years in the Navy, 4 years active duty and 2 years in the reserves total of 6 years.It seems that I and my other Vets are still being screwed. We did our jobs, we followed orders, we tried to do the Right Things at the Right Time. All of us Vets deserve, worked for, the largest assistance that Washington can give us. Not just me, but ALL individuals that served and now are retired. MY heroes are my friends and buddies that didn't get to return to civilian life. I survived and still are being screwed.

NOTE: Students who are declared as dependents on their parent’s taxes do NOT get a stimulus check.
That fucking blows. I graduated in December and entered the work force, and therefore am longer a dependent. As far as the government is concerned though, I still am.
Students who are dependents don't need the money. As such, the one's they are depending on will receive it.

@HolyLand Fan -. Agree. This is pretty much “found money” for my wife and me. Thankfully, we don’t need the money, but will certainly accept it. My wife and I qualify with room to spare and we live very comfortably. We are very careful with our money and still live very nicely. How people make in the neighborhood of $150K and are actually relying on a $1200 stimulus check is beyond me. Quit living like you make $250K a year.

The last time the Government sent out helicopter money in 2008 it was via check. Not sure about the direct deposit. Maybe if you only get SS as income. I’ve not yet read any facts relating to delivery.

I find your channel very Informative, i will be 62 this year and have been watching you for a little over a year and have learned a lot about SS etc. Going to try to wait for FRA but may file early, not necessarily at 62 but maybe a little early. I'm glad I tripped over this video because he definitely answered a question that I had. I live on permanent SSDI and am slightly below the poverty level annually so I do not file taxes. I was wondering if I would be disqualified due to not filing taxes because the amount of my income makes me exempt. Thank you so much for the information.
