They're the first kpop group that actually makes me want to be part of their group yk? Like I often wanted to be a kpop member because a member was particularly good at singing or she's super pretty, but newjeans genuinely makes me want me to sing their songs, practice their moves, be part of their project, befriend the members etc. And Im a woman in mid 20s 😂😂. Something about them makes me think about my youth and my 'unlived memories/experiences'. Its quite melancholic but also I just feel joy watching them work toward their success and build something special in their lives.
I believe the dance style with all the arm throwing is called waacking. It’s awesome, I really like how they incorporated those dance moves in this song

And to understand the songs better 💖 also i feel like zumba is seen by the youth nowadays as a lame "grandma" activity but Newjeans makes it look super fun and cool!! So love how Caitlin pays attention to the details while enjoying the song and visuals!! And i really like that the choreo for the chorus isn't repetitive and it isn't super different every time. I feel like a lot of kpop GGs try so hard to make sure it's not boring and make like 4 different versions if choreo for the chorus part of their songs. But this is only 2.
