One thing I liked about JL WAR was showing Darkseid as a giant physically.
Wonder Woman even calls him "giant".
This is in line with old classic DC from when I was young. When Zeus was said to be about 12' to 15' tall...and other powerful gods were similarly big , ( like Herakles....or Darkseid ).
But then, they got normal sized as heroes and or supervillains etc.
