I have the GOG version which is the deluxe edition and comes with the Defiance expansion so I should be able to find it when I'm back. This movie was extracted from the embedded player executable and converted to mp4 and played in vlc which upscaled the playback
I remember this game, it was brilliant!
It's still one my favourites, flying an actual large corvette class ship rather than a fighter, Newtonian physics and the backstory, amazing game!
Wow, the space scenes and CGI interiors look straight out of Babylon 5, love it! Wonder if they hired some of the same people for these cinematics.
I still think it's one of the best intro movies to a space sim to date! 😀

This is a hardcore space sim and great story
It really is, played through to completion a couple of times. This time I may try the 'good' path and the 'other' paths from the decision points.
