I liked Keith's body positivity. Hes like yeah he could be more muscular but he could also be more thin, hes got some insecurities but he understands that bodies are bodies and that's cool
I wouldn't call it positivity, more body neutrality. The idea that your self worth isn't based on how you look. You don't need to love how you look because it's not important.

@@kytheband definitely agree. I think you can phrase it as "don't base your self worth on how you look," because you shouldn't, but the the way you look can also always be a positive thing. Your body carries you through life. It might not be perfect, but neither are people, and both deserve love without conditions!

When Zach is saying he "wants to highlight everything in his life that he was once insecure about and instead reclaim those as the most vibrant, colorful eye grabbing parts of me" and he just has this sweet smile on his face, appreciating himself. That part really got to me. You rock Zach!
This whole video was a delight, but that was definitely my favourite part!

Hope youre ok. I suffered with anorexia nervosa for years, and I gained weight during the pandemic and my ex partner called me a fat disgusting whale! My inner voice told me he was right and to stop eating and punish myself. I did not listen. I said no going back. I changed my eating habits and started walking everyday. I lost the extra weight in a healthy way by treating myself with kindness which my partner did not. Thats one of the cruelest things anyone has ever said to me, but I used it as a foundation for self-love, not self-destruction.

I agree. As a woman that has had body issues since a child it amazes me that men are not comfortable with their bodies. Media just stresses women's looks and that's ingrained in our minds
@@crenee4742 The media is extreme over men's bodies too - just try and find a picture of a guy on an advertisement or clothing brand etc. that doesn't have abs and biceps and all that, looks like they've had to spend a year in a gym just to get to that stage.
We all (especially modern media) need to accept everyone looks differently and that's a great thing - we shouldn't have to be so self conscious in life but sadly that's the world we live in. I agree with you 100%
@@ciankearney7257 I understand. It's never "talked about" how men are self-conscious with their appearance. I just feel that I accept a man for a man but I'm secretly scared that any man won't accept me cuz I'm not "perfect". This has changed with age though.

It sucks so many people have to live with body insecurities - especially over things that are hard to change, I fully agree the media needs to be more accepting of all people who are talented, and willing to work hard instead of the tiny amount of people that have 'ideal' body types, as It has such a huge impact on society's perceptions of people. It applies to a lot of things - like the massive underrepresentation of gay people and other groups that are and have historically been on the receiving end of a lot of discrimination and hate. Hopefully, in time, the stigma will not be as bad.

I love the fact that the other try guys don't act different towards Eugene because he's gay and still show their portraits to him! As a girl I know on that spectrum we have it much easier about how our friend reacts to it than when boys come out, I often see the guy get treated differently because of it and I find it so sad

He has the best realistic technique and conventionally good portrait for sure! we all know his artistic abilities by now but I got to say Keith's drawing reminds me of a cartoon character in an [adult swim] tv show that I can't remember the name of so I love it! Very fitting for him.
Everyone went through their own journey but Zach gave his portrait an unique meaningful twist, I don't know a lot about art but wasn't that expressionism? And good ol' Ned, he knows drawing is not his strength but woah! he really went for it giving us pose! Always an overachiever.
I like his use of medium. But the fact that Keith went for an accuracy that made his wife even question... I appreciate it. Though... I have seen my husband cold... Man parts run for cover
I’m only 6 minutes in(I’m late I know) but I just wanna say that I feel like Zach has gotten more confident over the past few years. I think the hair restoration really did help him and I love that for him. He /looks/ more confident
I got a hyperfixation to make a portrait one time. As I see myself. I painted for 3 days straight, and it was an amazing and fun process. I did add tattoos I don't have YET and well in my transness did not paint the genetalia I was born with. But I feel so beautiful and so much like myself every time I look at it. I highly recommend people to try this out at some point 🥰
