2:05 Pro GK move made popular by Harry Hesketh, it increases the probabilities of saving pens. It's very good against casuals as most casuals don't know this and would walk right into the trap. Most pro use this and when a pro is facing another pro, it's another layer of mind games for pens. 2:52 I think your contextual agile dribbling is ON ??? You should double check this. 3:23 Judging by the receiver's speed, EA wants that to be a crossing scenario. If it was me I'd take a touch into the box and launch a normal cross with two bars of power. But I'm on Semi crossing assistance. 8:45 IMO you can play a simple through ball there to CR7, but I'm on Semi through-ball assistance. 10:00 For me, it's a lobbed through ball with 2 bars scenario, but again, I'm on Semi. Been like that for at least the last 3 FIFAs, so that's why iso-play is such a meta, it's because all the mechanics were deliberately built to encourage the use of it. It's a conscious decision made by EA and you know perfectly why they have made it into this. Because they want it to be e-Sport............
y'know, the simple 'square' cross is kind of underrated when it comes to layoffs because of the crossing system, players lock on really well to them so its just a matter of adjusting the power
Today I was losing my mind when I had acres of space on the wing and in the middle with Freeze Lautaro, similar to the scenario being shown in the video, just with even more space. He was just sprinting forward like a mad man, just to be ahead of my winger to prevent a simple pass to him, obviously due to him being offside. Luckily for me there was another player completely open in the middle caching up. I waited for the right moment to pass to him instead, but the game redirected the pass to Lautaro.... It's like many of these players have severe brain damage at times. They make the absolute dumbest runs you can possibly think of. You don't even see these kind of runs at the lowest league levels of football irl. And then EA want us to believe offensive AI has been improved drastically....
The reason he saved your penalty is he went to the side then dived back across, covers the side and the middle. Never go down the middle against someone who knows what theyre doing as they'll just do this trick.
Like I said in a post, backline is not existent in ea. Also 90+ players have always been favoured by the AI which makes your own players glitch on 50-50 balls and give it back to them.
Situations such as at 6:00 are so dumb. I am still scarred from fifa 20 with so many x passes going behind my player. I have somewhat re trained my self to use a triangle pass there. However, I am also aware that through balls often gravitate towards the keeper, or , cause my player to change his run direction. So, my next option is to do a cross. I actually like this option since I have my crossing assistance on semi, so at least the pass should go where I want it. This leads me to a question. Is the passing assistance the whole problem? Could it all be avoided if everyone had to play on minimum semi assistance for everything. I feel like that might be better. So sick of people getting bailed out by the passing assistance whilst it simultaneously screws my logical passes
100% the passing assistance is the problem. it’s why you can’t intercept and change the play of the game or your players don’t make the right runs. The passing is rigid to play play a certain way. that’s how the ai always knows where to run, mark and intercept (this obvious with the cdm) soon as you make the pass . It’s because the locking of the pass is already registered when you aim. FIFA’s become a game of tekken to say the least, rather than who’s the better player in terms of vision on the field. I noticed this happens most when you single tap the pass button rather than charge the pass. You can just see your players and the opposition players make runs they wouldn’t had I charged the pass, it’s so simulated now
There is something about ultimate team where stuff like what happened at 2:55 happens all the time. Your players make mistakes that you have absolutely no control over. But it in regular fifa online that stuff doesn't happen. I absolutely wreck people on regular fifa but on UT I lose one then win one over and over
At 10:03, have you considered using the L1 + R1 through ball? Its like a driven lofted through ball more like a chip shot almost so maybe youll get less of those weird touches you highlighted with Blanc. thats the only one id feel semi confident using. Once you took your touch around 10:14 yikes, maybe a double tap triangle pass if you're expecting ronaldo to attack the space in front of him. if you're expecting him to slow up in the middle of the box maybe a double tap x to float it by his mendy. i personally would do a fake shot stop and look for a runner from midfield or try to get to the byline would be the safest bet. thanks for the vids you're really making great content as always
Man... i feel you. Didn't buy FIFA21 because it was so obvious it was going to be like this... Have you tried going to the definitions and switch from assisted passing to semi assisted, and from tactical defending to legacy defending? I think it could improve a little bit in respect to the overhit throug balls, ground and air, and second defender pressing. It takes a little while to adapt but i think it's worth the effort. You end up having more freedom and personality in your playing style, and not being angry for the mistakes commited because you feel they are actually yours and not forced upon you. I've never played FIFA with tactical defending actually. Keep going man!

The thing you talked about towards the end of the video you are absolutely right. I feel like now when playing fut champs is just more of a game of who can keep their composure and not lose their patience. Yesterday I played a god squad and whenever they were pressing me so hard I just spent most of my time defending but not overcommit a tackle because I feel like even if I do get the ball sometimes the ball will just bounce off and land back to my opponents players why I don’t know EA ig. After the game and luckily won 2-1 I had only about 15 percent of the possession of the ball while my opponent had most of it just dancing around my box just waiting for a gap. It’s really hard not to lose your patience because I’m someone that doesn’t like to play to defensively and get frustrated when I know I can take the ball and score but I’m scared that if I do I will get punished very quickly.
Hey dude. At 10:15 my advice is double tap X as a first time pass (PS4, standard pass) works ALL the time for me. Please try it and let me know what you think.
For square balls at the edge of the box with a CB in between the winger and the striker (the last passing clip), I use lofted passes (double tap short pass). They work quite well
Bro, Cancelo played a pass off his back while slide tackling for an interception to start the counter for goal 3... I really admire you for having the desire to play this game year and year again, after it gets worse and worse
Manual lob through balls aren't so manual anymore. Used to feel like I had so much more control. I might start using manual cross in place of some of those passes and see if it's useful at all.
In iso situations I usually just watch the player doing the iso peripherally, this allows me to not bite into his feints and moves it just allows me to follow him where he goes without attempting an unnecessary tackle or getting drunk with his moves hahaha. But sure it is not 100% effective but it does help me.
I switch from CB to CM or CDM, sometimes the ST, trck back runs, your Ai is powerful in defending, the best thing I've realized is switching to full backs, the ai moves with every players motion.
At 10minute mark in my football game that I play the most (PES 15) I would press L2 which would allow me to manually navigate the pass and I will then pass a long ball which would go into space, basically a long ball through pass that I control manually. I would try to direct the pass a little bit ahead of the attackers. I think the pass would work in about 30-40% of cases and of those maybe 60% would be goals.
in the atal-neymar cenario the pass who would’ve work is the A ground pass or simple Y through ball, they are close enough to use Y and a wrongly aimed RB B cross will do what just happened. The Lucas-Son cenário happened because the game is broken/not well programmed/you could’ve aimed better
and also, it seems that you don't know that double tap passes have very useful characteristics....rn im looking at 10:00 for instance, the double tap 'triangle' pass generates a lot of curve which is very useful for bending it around defenders to reach your players the double tap 'X' pass can also generate this curve depending on whether the situation asks for it, but this is more 'stat' reliant as players with bad passing will not necessarily add the curve
The reason 2nd man man press sucks now is because after fifa 14 or 15 players complained that the mechanic was abused. Problem is that if they were going to make 2nd man press useless, the least they could of done is make interceptions a bit easier. You can't bait the offensive player anymore into an interception anymore because even when you time it and cover the space correctly the ball magically avoids the defending player 95% of the time. Also as far as passing goes, I personally find keeping either ground or thru balls on semi and the other on assisted helps, and also manual lobs and crosses cuts down on the fifa bs
You play some very nice lofted balls stallion. Do you press the cross button for a lofted pass or do you do a R1 through ball? And do you have your lofted passes on manual?
With the chance at 10 mins you've got go with a light cross using square/circle. Youv'e got the two runners so if its ends up on the head of either we're heading across keeper, if we touch it down , hard shot near post.
so relatable these games when they only dribble to the side and bacwards and end up with 68% possession with maybe 2 or 3 shots... I end up holding the ball myself so they don't have the chance to do so but I'm also not the best at it
Guys... I just discovered something that's unreal and really seems to help against the dda. Set your depth to 8 on defense and your team will press the entire game without losing stamina! Wow. You don't get countered all game either. I have Varrane and seasons IF Aidoo at cb, so as long as you have 82+ speed with shadow chem CBs it appears to prevent getting countered doing this. Set your defense to press after losing possession, depth at 8 ans width to 7 (helps press when they go try to go wide) and watch your opponents struggle lol. I've only used this for about 3 games so far but Holy moly it works well. One really good person I played handled it well, but the other two had no chance. I won one game by 7 goals lol. I've never won a game against an actual good team with somebody who's trying, by that many goals before.

Some times I wonder where in real life did ea see football players going left and right infinitely in a match. Where did they see midfielders not coming back to defend, where did they see such ridiculous ball control, where did they see stupid passes and adhere to unrealistic ones. How can on man have to control a whole team to show skill?its a game, we should not have to control fullbacks and midfield at the same time while defending. This isnt meant to be fifa streets, it's meant to be a simulation for real life football. It's just disgusting the left stick makes players move like tanks and passing look like the players are retards. Even winning sucks, this is terrible.
The main problem was, is and will be the balance for gameplay for hardcore / pro players and casual players! I guess around 90 % are casual players (which is around 90% of the money ea makes). For them the gameplay is fine, because they do mistakes, risk more and score and receive more goals. I know people say the skill gap is too small in fifa, but in reality the problem is the skill gap is way tooooooooo big. Just image a game between a div 8 player and a div 1 player. It would 10:0 or more. I think if the offensive AI would be more intelligent and go more into open spaces, pro gamer games could be less of a snooze fest and for casual players it would be also better.
@@Duval-In-The-Wall 100% not. Even with a weaker team the Div 1 player will win at least 5 - 0 and then he was unlucky. Against the husband of my sister who barely plays fifa and is div 7 or 8 (but he bearly plays FUT, mainly career) i win with my silver team easily 5-0. The difference between Div 1 and Div 6 - 10 is HUGE. Div 6 -10 are just casual players, some of the dont even do right stick switching.
The game passes, tackles, player strength, shooting, defending . Basically it is very very inconsistent to favor one over the other. The rebounds and counter attacks right after the opposition keeper makes an otherwise impossible shot on target. Is freaking annoying
Merry Christmas. about the 2nd game, it happens to me very often! I get an amazing through ball or a good interception to be past all the defenders and my attacker just decides to go back??
Iso is short for isolation. The iso play is to get your striker isolated 1v1 against a cb. Due to the poor 2nd man press feature your CB will get no help at all. This is literally how 90% of goals are scored in the higher divisions.
On that bad cross from Atal, you got screwed no doubt, but a triangle pass there I believe would've been a guarantee. I hate when that pass behind your player who's about to score happens. Seems it happens WAYYY too often.

I sold them all after 2 days. Since fifa 17 or 16 , whenever i got CR7 i always felt that my whole team plays much worse , and this year was no different - I mean they are good filler players - i used neymar with puskas and he was good support player, albeit puskas was the main man and neymar the sideshow. Mbappe works great alone/with neymar in friendlies atleast lol but mbappe is only one comparable to puskas even remotely....Mid Puskas is next level good and way more fun than all of them- better finisher , better passer , much sharper turning and right before the challenge passing, better movement, feels like how messi plays IRL, the amount of varanes ive sent ice skating with this card- its like the old MJ saying of u reach I teach , with puskas its u tackle , i teach. Actually makes this game fun as he has the best left stick dribbling and left foot shots in the game bar maybe prime R9 or eusebio , if im in the box or just outside , no matter the angle i created or if he is onrushing to the ball, all u *to do is shoot finesse or power it up- also - did they change how defending works ? My players are unresponsive af in defence even when gameplay is good.
Just some constructive criticism. I noticed there were times where you missed the opportunity to tackle or at least slide tackle the ball away. I’m in D1 and play several players who are 2200 SR. They will always look for the 1v1. Cutting of those passes and timing the offside trap will frustrate them.

It's a conscious decision made by EA and you know perfectly why they have made it into this. Because they want it to be e-Sport............
y'know, the simple 'square' cross is kind of underrated when it comes to layoffs
because of the crossing system, players lock on really well to them so its just a matter of adjusting the power
Merry Christmas warrior :)
I knew you were gonna miss that cross at 4:28 before you even played it. Seen it play out hundreds of times like that.
Very correct imo. Most people call this game rigged, scripted etc. But play the game with the auto pilot controls turned on. Very idiotic imo
10:16 i think you should always abuse " double triangle " in this scenario ,
the game force you to abuse broken mechanics to score and win
Thats the point, if u try to play football in this Game your going to lose 😭
FIFA 21 is beyond Logic, I always stopped at gold 2-3 with around 10-12 matches remaining at WL, its just doesn't worth the stress for me.
I am honestly thinking of just play career mode and give a fuck about online. Cause man ultimate team sucks so hard...
@@absalon1992 Every offline mode in this game are pretty much boring mate.. unless you have friends come over at your house, then its gonna be fun, other than that its a big no

This game makes no sense don't waste your time explaining it
The thing you talked about towards the end of the video you are absolutely right.
In 4:18 are u using contextual agile dribbling, cause if yes then is that, if no wtf
5:26 I don't know. I never have a problem with passing and scoring in this situation. Double tap square (Xbox) always arrives for me here.
The Lucas-Son cenário happened because the game is broken/not well programmed/you could’ve aimed better
and also, it seems that you don't know that double tap passes have very useful characteristics....rn im looking at 10:00
for instance, the double tap 'triangle' pass generates a lot of curve which is very useful for bending it around defenders to reach your players
the double tap 'X' pass can also generate this curve depending on whether the situation asks for it, but this is more 'stat' reliant as players with bad passing will not necessarily add the curve
Somehow I feel much better after watching your videos. It’s just a game anyway. Merry Christmas!
I like your reviews man, i experience it alot as well. This iso play, or however u call it, its so tough defending against it.
Use semi for through balls not assisted... this will change your game completely. Also, manual jockey.
Are you sure?
@@Exoticband1123 100% it's what the 14 year old 300-0 undefeated kid is using.

Manual jockey?
You play some very nice lofted balls stallion. Do you press the cross button for a lofted pass or do you do a R1 through ball? And do you have your lofted passes on manual?
i notice when you run offside the through ball is perfect, time your run and the player over hits the ball.
Yup
I feel ya bro the passing mechanics are so inconsistent its a lottery.
With the chance at 10 mins you've got go with a light cross using square/circle. Youv'e got the two runners so if its ends up on the head of either we're heading across keeper, if we touch it down , hard shot near post.
Hope you and your family had a Good Christmas Stallion.
So pro FUT games are the exact same tactics as every other UT game I play, good to know
By faaar ... the best channel of fifa 21 ...
so relatable these games when they only dribble to the side and bacwards and end up with 68% possession with maybe 2 or 3 shots...
What division?
Thanks mate, will try this 🇬🇷
@@Duval-In-The-Wall ya not sure of it still works - at one point after a patch I think they nerfed it which made the game get boring so I quit playing for a while now... That was fun as hell while it lasted though. They patch the game so often, honestly who knows it may even work again
CornPopWasABadDude
Man they just fuck over the game consistently, ffs EA
I played an MLS ePro and lost 4-3 with his god squad abusing mechanics while my RTG tried to actually build up play. Made me realize that if you had the squad and the lack of dignity you could go anywhere in this game
Let’s talk about your teams stamina get drained in the first half and your opponents barely goes down , or your players lethargic passes from 3 yards depending on you opponent. The bubble zone for contextual status is bigger or 90+ players slowing your players down it’s like what’s happening with COD
I don't understand what he says when his opponent starts dribbling in front of the box. It sounds like "I get drunk by the opponent iso playing".
If you miss a chance, the opponent will go down the other end and score. If you do score, the opponent will get a kick-off goal. You can't win with this game :D
I know this is bullshit
R1+ triangle the best option there in my opinion
Speaking of phasing through: It was the last straw that made me put down this franchise. I was playing Online tables using Germany against Argentina. The opponent's cross comes in looking for Messi. Hey, no problem. I'm manning him with Hummels and had AI Boateng on him already. Now both of those guys are *at least* a foot taller. But what do you know, Messi's head phases right through Boateng's chest and beats Neuer with a perfect header...
pros play video game, Stallion plays football!
3:37 okay wtf has fifa ever heard of acceleration? Raheem sterling doesnt hit 0-100 that quick
It literally infuriates me whenever I click x and the game does a triangle pass for me. Like thanks but I messed up I don’t need training wheels I want to be genuinely punished for my mistakes not rewarded for fucking around with the ball in the opponents third until I see a run made that I know for sure can’t be stopped
The constant spamming of skill moves is so annoying, is so counterintuitive to real footie
If the div 8 and the div 1 both had meta teams it would not be 10-0 lol
@@Duval-In-The-Wall What score are you thinking of?
Martin Pro
This game? 3-2, maybe 4-2
If the div 8 player abuses the meta he can fluke a win
@@Duval-In-The-Wall 100% not. Even with a weaker team the Div 1 player will win at least 5 - 0 and then he was unlucky. I am Div 3 Player and I win against friends from Div 5 / 6 / 7 easily at least 5 or 6-0. Without sweating it and with worse teams.
Good to know there are some honest critics and conent creators out there, not just desperate try hard noobs! 😉👍
I think a soft square pass has been totally forgotten because crosses to headers don’t work. A cross to a players foot still works for me
Merry Christmas. about the 2nd game, it happens to me very often! I get an amazing through ball or a good interception to be past all the defenders and my attacker just decides to go back??
Every once in a while I get an itch to buy a fifa game. Then I watch a video like this and remember why this game will just piss me off.
What is ISO?
What is Iso play
9:53 l1+R1 pass might work out g
what does iso play mean?
Iso is short for isolation. The iso play is to get your striker isolated 1v1 against a cb. Due to the poor 2nd man press feature your CB will get no help at all. This is literally how 90% of goals are scored in the higher divisions.
@@corysagaming9980 thank you!
I think on the wide open cross attempt you should have double tapped the X button instead of the R1 driven lob pass.
Good video bro
On that bad cross from Atal, you got screwed no doubt, but a triangle pass there I believe would've been a guarantee. I hate when that pass behind your player who's about to score happens. Seems it happens WAYYY too often.
Ive given up playing past 14 wins now fuck this awful game after a certain skill level its all just the same goals on repeat the same defensive mistakes game after game in high elo champs games its too stressful i have to put my whole weekend into it just to have a chance of elite...i get a headache everytime i play ultimate team at the moment i sometimes do think that its some sort of mind controll ea is doing on me because i have no idea why i want to get better at this game and continue to play...my headache is back after reminding myself of this shit.
Double tab cross to get a low cross to the middle?
triangle,aiming far post,more power
For pen?
@@afroloui5195 for the case of atal when he was 1v1 with the keeper and he passed to ronaldo I believe but he missed
How on earth is that pro player able to move like that? I swear majority of the community doesn't have responsive gameplay like that. That guy is literally spamming stepovers and left stick dribbling which is impossible during bad gameplay. Is there some secret that the rest of the community doesn't know?
Probably but the ping plays a huge part too
Good game bro in my humble opinion i think if you press triangle with two bars of power in that senario with atal the ball would gone infront of the ball reciever instead to the back of him so it will increase your chances to score
What are the camera settings?
bro legit - i sold my puskas after 150 games and a 5:1 goal to game contribution ratio (had something like 350 goals and 151 assists) to buy mbappe neymar and cr7 in a 41212, the rest of my team unchanged ... i dropped from 1700 SR to 1200 in a day and a half while i comfortably stayed around 1700 all year so far....
Guys atleast everyone here, give a 1 start rating to fifa 21 on google and other platforms
Great analysis Italian stallion, buon natale
I love you man! 😘😘😘
9:23 after the touch the play was to cross far post..u see that run?
wouldn’t have worked in FIFA 21
Been doing 90% power triangle for sweaty goals if you don't do that power u have no chance
Just some constructive criticism. I noticed there were times where you missed the opportunity to tackle or at least slide tackle the ball away. I’m in D1 and play several players who are 2200 SR. They will always look for the 1v1. Cutting of those passes and timing the offside trap will frustrate them.
Bro R9 is glitchy as hell!! Not fair
Double triangle or double circle would have been perfect pass for you
10:28 I'd cross (square) then volley
his gk went right then dove left, i always do that and it works too! normal thing to do.
Great video
At 10:05 first time triangle pass works
The mistake at 3:22 was your choice of pass. That should be a through ball, trust me.
What is iso play ?
Lol what iso means?
Use more lofted through balls their legit the best 1-2 passes in the game they squirt through a lot of the op defenders ign
