Actually, if you have tried the right durian. Like the ones that are not too ripened. They dont have strong smell like the ripened ones, and taste much better too. I know lots of people who hate durian because they’d tried the first one that is not well selected.

ส่วนมากที่ผมดูคลิปมาหลายๆคลิปที่ต่างชาติทานทุเรียน แล้วไม่ชอบ และไม่ชอบกลิ่นของมัน เป็นเพราะว่า คุณทานผลที่มันสุกเกินไปครับ ถ้าสุกเกินไปมันจะมีกลิ่นแรงและไม่อร่อย อย่าว่าแต่ต่างชาติไม่ชอบเลยครับ ผมที่มันสุกๆมากๆคนไทยก็ไม่นิยมกินกันนะครับ คุณต้องเลือกผลที่มันสุกกำลังพอดีๆครับ อย่างเช่นในคลิปนี้เค้าได้กินผลที่สุกกำลังพอดีครับเลยอร่อย

ใช่ผมสังเกตุคลิปที่ต่างชาติกินทุเรียนแล้วไม่ชอบ ส่วนมากแม่งเปนทุเรียนที่โครตสุก คืออย่าว่าแต่กินเลย แค่กลิ่นผมยังไม่อยากจะเข้าใกล้ ทุเรียนยิ่งสุกยิ่งเหม็น
ใช่คนที่กินทุเรียนครั้งแรกถ้ากินแบบของไทย ส่วนใหญ่จะติดใจไปเลย
ส่วนมากจะโดนแกล้งครับ หรือไม่ก็เพราะไม่รู้จริงๆ
ใช่จ้า มาถึงนี่เงาะนี่เปลือกดำ มะม่วงนี่เหลืองออกดำ ฝรั่งก็สุกเลย ไม่มีคนซื้อด้วย เหมือนส่งออกมาทิ้ง เราอยู่อเมริกา อยากให้คนส่งออก มีวิธีส่งแบบสดกว่านี้
นี่อาจจะเป็นตอนที่ดีที่สุดตอนนึงที่ช่วยกู้ภาพลักษณ์ของทุเรียนได้ดี น่าจะมีคนทำคลิปช่วยสอนวิธีเลือกกินทุเรียนในแบบที่คนไทยเค้าเลือกกินกันให้แก่ชาวต่างชาติได้เข้าใจว่า ทุเรียนแบบไหนของดี และแบบไหนแย่
People often exaggerate when showing dislikes on durian. Durian is simply a sweet creamy fruit, and it's a lovely taste.
Keep in mind that the very first durian you try should be a good quality one. If you try a bad one (unripe/overripe/fruit caterpillar/etc) the very first time, it what makes people mistaken about durian. Only people who already understand the delicacy of durian could tolerate those problems.
Because some have heard things about it and already biased about the fruit. So when they get the chance to taste it and don't like the texture or taste, it reinforces their biased opinion and make exaggerated expressions. My mom loves Durian and has tried several times to get me to eat it. I've tried it many times and can't seem to like Durian, but I don't make those over the top put on expressions.
I don't really eat durian cz i cannot stand the smell, but durian actually taste really good when u pick a good one... I really hate it when people especially "western people" show exagerate reaction like it was the worst food ever when some of their food even smell worse than that...But i still cannot eat too much coz my body will drop the next day..
I don't even know why people find Durian smelly- I mean the scent is distinct and pungent but it's never an unpleasing scent to me unlike how people compare it to fart or poop like idk what they're eating to have their farts smelling that good.

I think it like the line between Heaven and Hell for someone.Normally people just see and smell but you don't forget it's a fruit from nature. Furthermore, you need to know type of durian... Many chinese ,malaysian like to eat overriped durian...too ripe it's good( in their mind) but Thai people like to eat fresh durian.. not overriped.They like crispy outside but little creamy inside. Every SPECIES of durain is good, musang king ,mhon thong
MY friends from USA and Swiss have both " like it " or " hate it"...groupf of " hate it" almost eat a wrong way...such as eat overriped and use a fork diging it...Yes, it Please think like you eat cheese cake...I bought a fresh one and less smell they tested..They changed their mind..Now they 're looking out to eat durian when they come to Thailand or Malaysia.

Its durian season now at my place, we can see many truck sale durians at side of the road everywhere here now. Its really tasty

That's why people must try durian that is fresh. Not the one that already go through export process/ frozen one. The fresh at the market like this is the best one

Since Durian is already popular, I think we need to popularized 'tempoyak' too....I don't know what other Asean countries called it but it is the leftovers or old riped Durian that being fermented for 3-4 weeks in a jar/container.

That would kill me, even though I'm a 100% Durian lover - - (Thai). every Durian has it's golden time around 1-2 days. when it's not too hard nor too smelly so I don't want too eat too riped one unless you took it to the freezer and eat it like an ice-cream.

Try to fresh durian ,telling seller you need just fresh.. the texture and skin is crispy.It less smell or try to Thai's durian organic nonthaburi...it's very less smell but too expensive. My malaysian friend don't like to durian,now he change to eat nonthanuri durian specie.
People don't like it because they eat frozen/imported durian from Malaysia & Thailand. You have to eat it fresh there and choose the best variety. Then you can appreaciate it.
Fyi if you eat durian, dont throw away the skin/shell/whatever you call it. Pour the water on it and drink it directly from there, it'll remove the scent on your mouth and wash your hand from it, it'll remove the scent from your hand. Try it and thank me later..

1:24 in Thailand we're not call lychee. Mangosteen in thai is Mangkud not lychee.
If you want to eat durian that is delicious and has no bad smell You should choose that it is not too soft.
Most American,Japanese,Koreans,Europeans ate frozen,hqnd plucked durians from Thailand that are weeks old. We in Malaysia only eat fresh, ripened and that fell on their own from trees only. More than 4 days, we will turn the durian fleas into something else.
I still cant understand why people said the durian smell is stinky and taste bad. Honestly durian is like the most delicious food ever. Especially when the durian ripe and yellowish in color. Other way to eat it is eat together with sticky rice or pulut. Oh my. Feel like eating durian so much.

For starter to eat durian, please choose Durian Monthong same as the 2 girls ate. It's must crispy outside and creamy inside, don't eat it by spoon or chopstick. And don't choose too ripe durian. I am Thai and durian is my favorite fruit, but I can't eat and don't like too ripe durian, it will too strong smell. I saw many vdo eat too ripe durian, that I know it really bad smell and bad taste for starter. And I know the durian in this vdo is delicious certainly 👍🏻 it's texture is so good

I would like to introduce people to eat durian first, should start from the first durian glutinous rice from Thai people who want you to eat delicious food.
To many korean who love's durian, please do not eat it too much,. Durian gives a warm to our body,. The much eat it, will cause your body un ballance (feels like drunk/sick)

I give you a tips how to eat the durian. Big bite the durian. Don't just take a little bite. Bite it a lot. The supreme flavour will mix inside your mouth and you will fall in love with durian forever.

U know what, when i was kid i really hate durian but my family love it, and now iam really extreme love durian.
durian is gassy fruit, so it doesn't smell that bad outdoors but if it were to be put indoor or in wrapping it would release that gassy smell.. u would know u got the good durian when it taste creamy and soft like cream taste

Alifa Husna it depends where do u come from . If u are Malaysian u definitely prefer Malaysian durian. For Thais, they are not used to durian with strong smell. Likewise for these 2 Korean ladies I think Thai durian is suit for their palates.

It's just a difference in ripeness and cultivars. In island Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia), older durian with softer flesh and more pungent smells are preferred.
