This is a affordable beer in Germany especially in western Germany it’s very cheap compared to local more high scale beers but to me honestly it’s just as good as local beers and it’s top notch compared to most American beers so hats off to aldi for allowing us to get a quality beer
@J. I. Alexander that’s cool to know. I like it and all of my friends that have tried it like it too. Good beer at a good price. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
about to crack a few pint cans tomorrow 5.99 for 4 pint cans. Happy New Year
Great beer for the money. Cheers and Happy New Year
My German friend recommended this so I had to try it. Excellent!
@flouserschird I think it’s probably one of my favorite beers that I get from Aldi. I enjoy it quite a bit, lately I have found it in four packs of roughly pint cans. I’d like it even better that way. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
I'm hoping Aldis will import werensgruner dark which is rated even higher
@Paul Miriani wait what!?! That sounds great, I’m in. You hear this Aldi, we as a public need this!
Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
Well Aldi's does carry a lot of German products so if I was going to try a beer from Aldi's a german one would be my first pick.
You should. It’s worth it. Cheers 🍻
Oh! What a delicious beer!
I thought it was nice and at that price I’ll get more.
I love this beer. I have yet to have a German Pilsner that isn’t great. Just as good as bitburger if you ask me and way more affordable. I’d drink it all the time if I didn’t have to drive about 30 minutes to the nearest Aldi.
I have been consistently impressed with how many people knew about this beer long before I did. In my opinion it’s extremely drinkable and a fantastic bargain. Glad you enjoyed it as well. Hope you enjoyed the video and I hope to see you in the comment section again. Cheers 🍻
@@Beeradventurer Maybe the reason why a lot of people knowing about it before you did because you probably might not shop at Aldi's that much or if you do shop at Aldi's you might not be looking at their alcohol section.
@Frank Rodriguez I think you are absolutely right.
@@Beeradventurer sorry for the late reply but yes I do enjoy it and I’ve been drinking it for about 4 years now and I’m thrilled that my city recently got out first Aldi 😂🤣
@@frankrodriguez6998 yeah if you don’t have an Aldi near you or don’t shop there then you’ve definitely never heard of this beer. Lots of hidden gems at the beer/wine sections or Aldi and Lidl for sure!
this is a real german brewery with its own tv commercials and all over there and now owned by Bitburger. But Aldi seems to be the exclusive distributor of it in USA
I have been finding more and more out about them. Seems to be a good beer with a good following. I’ve had more since the filming. Cheers 🍻
i'm a fan - its a solid german pilsner sold at the same price as coors light.
check this out - ua-cam.com/video/cGbBeFk_4j0/v-deo.html
That made me want to drink some now. Lol
great beer way better then any american beer
@jimmyjames lee it is a good beer for sure. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
The W’s are pronounced V’s in German.
@Greg Riley I didn’t know that. Thanks. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
Wernesgrüner brewery predates Columbus finding America. The brewery has been around for a long as time. It's just one that Aldi decides to import to America.
@Jason Smith I like most German brewed beers and I’m glad that Aldi imports it so that way I got to try it. Great beer at a great price. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
I think you guys should stick to Old Milwaukee and Blatz!! Wernesgruener is a decent German Pils (Pilsner to you Yanks!!) and never a lite/light beer! Made in former East Germany very close to the Czech border! If I remember their history right they were the first "German" brewery to start brewing pilsner beers. German Pilsners (according to my Uncle who worked in a German brewery in southern Germany) are usually between 4-5% alcohol, Export/Dortmunder/Helles are usually between 5-6% and a little maltier! This is what a good German Pilsner should taste like!!
I think you may have misunderstood us, we are saying that something this good is “their lesser beer”. We were kinda joking that all German beer is better beer. We just happen to be big German beer fans. This is cheap here and pretty great. It’s in my fridge a lot.
@@Beeradventurer Most German's tend to be very regional in their taste and tend to buy what is brewed in or close to their city. And they do have some crap beer though they tend to be those that are brewed under license outside of Germany like Beck's, Lowenbrau and Spaten (both brewed at Labatt in Canada!) or lacklustre German Pilseners like Holsten. Lowenbrau and Spaten are both Munich Helles and are pretty good at home in Munich.
Right on, and I don’t know if other people like it but I tell you what I love Spartan Optimator, found it in a little German bar in Florida at a very pivotal point in my beer drinking life so it will always hold a special part of my heart. Beer is like that, it’s not always what you’re drinking it’s who you’re drinking with and at what time in your life you’re drinking that beer. Maybe you have some ideas of beers that I can fine to review that you really liked. Let me know if I can find them I’ll review them. Cheers
@@Beeradventurer Another beer brand that the new owners (BItburger) of Wernegruener was Koenig Bier out of Duisburg (Koenig means "king" in German) so everyone would say that it was the real King of Beers! German beer is only pasteurized for export so what we get on this side of the pond is never as good as what they get at home!! Koenig Pilsener Is known as an exceptional pilsner in Germany. Try it, even pasteurized it's pretty good!! Jever is also good! And then there are the Alt's from Dusseldorf and the Koelsch From Koeln (Cologne) and the Dortmunders from Dortmund and the Baltic Porters from the Baltic coast of N.E. Germany and the Helles and dark beer from Munich and Oktoberfest, Rauchbeir, Schwartzbeer! Too many towns too many beers and so many very good!!
But some of your craft beers in the US are also exceptional!!!
I have had a few of those that you mentioned, being as I used to live in a much larger area I had more beers to choose from. It is a little difficult for me to get to the larger markets to shop for beer because of the current situation but most of my favorite beers tend to be German or of German styles of beers. If you look through some of my videos you will notice that I am a huge Oktoberfest fan. It’s probably my favorite style of beer. But I hope to be adding more international beers to my review list. Thank you so much for your suggestions, and I will be getting to as many of them as I can as fast as I can. I’ll probably even give you a shout out on some of these. Cheers 🍻
I've had worse for the price brothers
Amen to that, I bet we have all had some bad expensive beers.
Aldi in San Diego sells it for $6.00 per six pack. Any beer with a German name brought elsewhere cost ,$9 to $12. I'm going to try it, thanks guys.
Glad we could help. I hope you like it. Drop back by and let us know what you think. Cheers 🍻
Same here in North Carolina. I love it.
What part of North Carolina are you in?
Honestly the beer is pretty good. Not top of the line but better then the average
@mico stanisic right, but at the price it’s hard to beat. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
It's what it supposed to be, a good beer, haha. Cheers!
Exactly. Cheers 🍻
This is a very good beer. I feel it's much better than you portrait it to be. All I ones taste I suppose.
It’s good enough I buy it about once ever two months.
I love this beer. $6 6pk. Great stuff
It’s a deal for real. 🍻
A brand from East Germany. I guess at this point it's like the Hamm's of Germany, I'd say. Drinking some now, and I like it. But to me Schlitz is good beer. 😀
I would say it was a pretty tasty beer at a good price so I like it. But then again I will drink Schlitz or Hamms occasionally so beer is beer
This is a good beer and I myself think I would know not claiming to say I'm an expert at beer but I have curated my taste to where most of the beers that I drink are from outside of the US most of them come from Mexico and Europe that's where I like most of my beers. Don't get me wrong I have a few American beer brands that I like some of them are from Aldi's and others are named brand like the whole line of Red's Apple Ale which includes wicked, all of the Miller Lite brand and a few smitters of other beers but not because I didn't like them but because I didn't try the whole brand like the New Belgian were I haven't tried everything they have to offer.
I think that’s a fantastic way to look at it, there’s just so many beers out there and there are so many out there both good and not as good. Kind of my thing is I will try them all. I don’t really have a favorite beer were probably even a favorite brand. I think my favorite style is Oktoberfest but I enjoy so many other styles. I just like how much fun you can have with your friends and a few beers. Thank you for your comment, I hope to see you in the comment section again. Cheers 🍻
one of my fav for beers, try a CUZQUENA from the andes of Peru, its about the same flavor as this german beer
I will look for it and ask friends to keep an eye out for it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a beer from Peru yet. Now I have to find one. Cheers 🍻

My impression is that these gentlemen need a busy taste, they may not have the criteria to identify natural, original, pure, not disturbed classic beer.
@LTC Academy as it has been about 2years since the video was shot, I’m not full versed it what was the dialogue. However I have enjoy a few more 6packs of the beer and will say that Lunchbox’s pallet has come a long way. It is a good drinking beer and I will continue to have it every so often. I appreciate your viewership and pleasant comments. Love to have you as a subscriber and Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
I like meister brau.
I’d love to find that to but it on my show!!
DArrrrEee! Duuuuuuuh!
Ok
Not the best beer....but probably the best beer for $6-$7ish.
This may be true. Cheers 🍻
Samuel adams vs blue moon, which one is better?
@89frisco that’s a hard one. I am guessing you mean the Sam Adams logger and the traditional Bluemoon as opposed to one of their many varieties on both. The styles are just too different for a accurate comparison so I would say it comes down to personal preference and I personally would prefer the Sam Adams. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
I am not a fan. I like several aldi brews but the aftertaste gets me on this one. Its decent but id rather pay a couple bucks more for blue moon or guinness.
@Crammy handle it’s observations of an idiot , I can digg that. And Guinness it always a good choice in my book. Hope to see you in the comments section again soon! Cheers 🍻
What a Shame!
