For anyone wondering about the seemingly random bee enemies, there's an unused posthumous version of Honeydrop (known as the Heiress), possibly intended for either Ashpit or Catacombs.
Probably a boss to be added in a future FF update
there is actually a text file in her sprites folder saying she will get added to ashpit, eventually
It's already been confirmed that shes planned to be added to ashpit, but before rep she was planned for a different floor

Fiend Folio enemies are endlessly creative and fun to look at. The sprite work and attack patterns are so entertaining. Thank you for making these videos to showcase and make it all so much more accessible to see all of them! I look forward to each new video!

Ossularry having 512 segments makes the game run like if I played Fiend Folio and had 2 modded enemies in the same room

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but, Ztewie and Briar are actually a referance to the Stewie and Brian characters from Family Guy!
Not only that but the cellar had enemies named Homer and Marge, so perhaps these enemies were meant to continue the joke of naming bee enemies after adult animated sitcom characters

i'd love to see you showcase the Corpse in fiend folio. that floor truly has a completely different atmosphere in fiend folio, and some of those enemies are genuinely terrifying. i love it
I remember playing a mario game and all of sudden, be stuck in a giant PIT of ASHes.
It was very hard to get out of there.

Ossularry is such a good name, I kind of wish it could have been made into a full-fledged Ashpit boss instead of just another enemy.

The shell is an ashpit hollow variant, not a larry jr variant. You’re thinking of tuff twins.
The stuff that the Fiend Folio devs think of is so freakin cool and unique! I love it!
The Dry Wheeze skull shorts breaking into bones and teeth is a cool detail, they could have simply done bones but they thought "a skull would have some teath also" : )

Clickety Clash had a bug when Clutch was added that caused it to turn rocks purple.
This bug was dubbed Clutch's Curse and inspired one of the effects of the Clutch's Curse Item
Theres an unused boss, that looks like the bee enemies from ashpit.

Yeah there are always some crossovers. Many enemies can spawn on other floors as well but each enemy has its "main floor"

Rather unused. It’s a dead bee which transforms into a larva or something like that. The boss is pretty boring so it’s not surprising they are still working on it.
How dare they add new enemies and variety! I want my Edmund approved enemy reskins!

It acts like an attack fly but every 1-3 seconds it places a fire
When dead it shoots 8 bullets in a ordinal and cardinal direction

I can't believe there's Shellmet but no Karrablast! The pun would've been so easy too..

Carrablast
Health: 44
Curls up in its shell and rolls toward Isaac, ocassionally stopping to uncurl and release a bomb
Only immune to its own explosive when uncurled, but immune to all explosives when curled
Sometimes digs toward Isaac if he is too far away, resurfacing to release a bomb
What's a Karrablast?

i really think flint needs some balancing, it has the potential to softlock players by blocking doors with the holes it creates. other than that these enemies are pretty cool
Go and softlock youself with Flinty, then come back. Will be a tough task with his anti-softlock pit system, but I believe in you!
I’m pretty sure the game already has a softlo k prevention mechanism that always keeps a stable path to any/all doors in the room when enemies/objects that blow pits into the floor are present. You can see this mechanism at work should you fight Singe for a while, or purposely spawn then use a bunch of giga bombs in one room.
Flint probably uses the same safe route mechanic megabombs use. Although it will become hard to dodge it if you get to that point.

I just got back into isaac after not playing since before Afterbirth +. New updates are incredible. However, i’m finding that I am getting smoked more often than not; really struggling to even get to the Beast fight most of the time. Do you think that this mod would make things way too difficult? I love watching your content but kind of dread downloading Fiend Folio
Its pretty hard
I'd say get all the characters and beat beast at least twice before getting folio.
This mod does make the game more difficult, you should beat the game in Repentance a few times before venturing with FF
It's tougher than base Isaac, but it's meant to be played along with other mods which make it easier (For instance, a lot of custom characters are far stronger than most characters bar Isaac, Azazel, Cain and Tainted Judas).

Flinty is so easily pushed around that it might softlock you
isaac has an anti softlock feature for ground breaking explosions, even if you spam the room with giga bombs there will always be a path from one door to the other one left

Why half of ashpit enemies is skeletons? This is not catacombs or necropolis, there is 2-3 ash themed mobs, other look's like they from another floors
Unmodded ashpit has clickety-clacks, big bonies, pasties, bone flies, and The Pile. Skeletons were already one of the themes down there.
