CHARSI KARAHI WRITTEN RECIPE :
Ingredients :
Mutton with bones ½ kg
Clarified butter 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Chicken powder 1 tsp
Tomatoes (whole cut into halves) 4
Large green chilies sliced 4
Coriander chopped for garnish
Karahi masala 2 tbsp
Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
METHOD :
Heat ghee in a wok, add mutton with salt, and black pepper, fry till brown, add 1 cup water, cover, and cook till mutton is half done, Add tomatoes, cover, and cook till tomatoes tender, peel off the skin of tomatoes, continue to cook till tomatoes are mushy, add karahi masala, remove excess ghee, add green chilies, serve hot with nan.
CHERRY CRUMBLED WRITTEN RECIPE :
Ingredients for Crumble :
Flour 1 cup
Oats ¾ cups
Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
Coffee 1 tsp
Vanilla ½ tsp
Caster sugar ½ cup
Brown sugar ¼ cup
Butter cut into cubes 4 ounce
Ingredients for Cherry Filling:
Cherries pitted 2 can
Caster sugar ¼ cup + 3 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Vanilla essence ½ tsp
Butter 1 tbsp
METHOD :
Put together all the ingredients for filling in a glass baking dish, mix well, and keep aside. Put all the ingredients for the crumble in a bowl, mix with chilled butter with your fingertips till it forms into a crumble, spread the crumble over the cherry layer, bake on 180 D for 35 - 40 mins till the crumble is golden, and serve with cream or custard.
