@@M.sami12 It’s not quite like that, you never really feel at home in America if you’re from another culture, unfortunately. I’ve got Iranian, Norwegian and ‘American’ culture behind me, and although you might find imitations of other cultures in America, they’re never (or at least extremely rarely) fully authentic. However, the US is nice for what it is.😊
@@angelahanley9055 Thank you 🥰🙏
Thank you, Mark, Iranian people have always loved hospitality and we will be happy if you travel to Iran and enjoy our sights and food to the fullest. I wish the people of the world would know that Iran is not the way the media and our enemies show it. I feel sad when I see it. Whoever asks about Iran, the people of the world say that Iran is unsafe and dangerous, or they say that Iran is scary
When I saw a part of the movie 300, I said how can the enemies show the people and history of Iran like this. Even the media reflected the Iranians' protest against the movie 300. I really don't know what to say... Anyway, thank you Mark :)
Classic Mark Wiens - he doesn’t mess around. Goes to the best persian spots in LA. Raffis and Attari are both landmarks. Thank you for being so genuinely interested in ours and other cultures.
Nia and Sahra are both beautiful with sultry voices especially Nia. Oh, and the food all looks delicious too.
Dude. This is now my favorite episode. Amazing feasts! Very much reminds me of how my own Italian family throws down. I'm definitely going to find Iranian food in my area now as a result of how delicious looking this was. Thank you!
Not all restaurants can make best and delicious persian food.
Even among Iranian women some of them are bad cooks some are awesome
Thank you Mark for reminding me of my past life of wanting to go to Iran. The pandemic has really caused me to forget what it is I truly love. I needed to be reminded of how much I loved Iranian culture, food and hospitality
For me Persian foods seems waaaay better than any others you've showen Mark
cooked by Mexicans

Viva Persian food and city of Glendale! I have been living in Glendale since 1979 and it has changed so much.
Omg 😳 those meals looks so delicious 😋💖 🇮🇷
definitely love to visit RAFFI’s restaurant 👍😳🥩🥨 probably the thousand times better than the Nus-ret
Watching from Tokyo 🇯🇵
❤❤❤❤thank you
Nus-ret is over rated
This is now on my bucket list of places to go when I retire@ (2 years) I love Mark Wiens 4ever and Ying and Micah!

I think Iranian cuisine has developed sour cherries embedded into their dishes more than any other country that indulges in sour fruits. Beautiful!
Yes!
This was probably the most mouthwatering video you've done since the Shady Maple video that actually made me book a trip to Lancaster ASAP!
I’ve been to all these places many many times. Love my native Iranian foods. Homemade Persian foods is in whole different level of deliciousness. 💖💖💖💖💖
I never knew my mouth can water so much, until I watched this. OMG! Mark keep those videos coming brother.
Persian and Persian-Armenian community holding it down 🇮🇷🇦🇲
I had no idea LA had a big Persian community. That’s the great thing I love about your channel Mark! I learn something new every time.

I think one of the reasons the food taste so good is because the meat is halal , I'm not religious but I used to work in a restaurant and I find that halal meat tastes better in stews and stuff , most of the Persian restaurants in LA serve halal meat , I try not to eat meat in general , I don't like eating too much lamb and stuff but using fresh halal meat in a stew or something , it makes a huge difference in terms of taste , I think it tastes better
Oh yes, that's why known as Tehrangeles😉...Persian food is some of the best in the world.
@@ojosazules8828 I need to start exploring!
I live in LA. I grew up with many Persians. A lot of them are Jewish and families who fled Iran after the Revolution. A Persian Jewish man was the mayor of Beverly Hills. You will never go hungry with Persian friends. Very kind and hospitable. There are Iranian restaurants all over LA. Many in the SFV. Some of the best food for sure.
This is one of my favorite episodes! I love Iranian food and their culture and hospitality
Oh how I love it when my neighbor ( Iranian ) txt me and says “ come over, I just returned from the Iranian market”… “we have plenty of food”! 😊
OMG! Such scrumptious food! I need another tummy to devour those feasts in one day!! The award goes to you two for treating us to virtually taste the diverse and rich food cultures of different parts of the world, which adds to our understanding of and value for each other! Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰!
OMG reminds me of when I lived in California the Iranian/Persian food is some of the best outside of Iran. Take it from me I was married to a Persian and his mother was an amazing cook, I learned a lot of recipes and I can say, I can cook some of this amazing food as well. If you haven't tried Iranian food, you need too.
Raffi’s place look amazing the hospitality of the owners are so welcoming. I love to see how organized and clean where they prepare the food. The meat factory.🎉🎉🎉🥰🥰🥂🥂💕💕
Micah is getting so big. What great memories to hold onto while growing up and having your parents literally take you around the world. Sa Tu 🙏🏽❤❤❤
Also I think what makes you so unique as the host of a food eating channel, is the way you eat food. No matter what you eat, with the reaction shown on your face everytime you eat it, makes that thing - undoubtedly tasty.
I noticed Persian cooking has an emphasis on rice dishes. The cherry rice really got my interests. The dishes all look so delicious.
I have some great Iranian friends whom I met in 🇯🇵 and 🇦🇺! Just remembered that although we have lots of cultural differences, when it comes to food, we enjoy eating together!💕I’m sure I can enjoy the Iranian food Mark showed us!😆💓

Those girls are so sweet. They are truly enjoying every bite , every moment. 👍. Food looks amazing
Mark, watching your videos has brought us so much joy, especially during these times when travelling has become more restrictive. Thank you and keep them coming!
My husband is Persian but from India and he introduced me to some amazing Iranian and Indian food. The best food in the world 🔥🔥
Like a Parsi?
@@Hermesborugerdian first why do you care lol ....second there are also others and i don't think indians call parsi's persians...and strictly they are not. They are a sub-group in india. Cultrully and ligually they are indian with some old iranian things like their religion... only the clergy know old persian for reading avesta nad religious rites...btw you also have the irani's....those are/ were muslims and immigrated much later to india. Besides you just have people from iran who live abroad.....and indians living abroad....they possibly both met in some other country
@@farda8473 The question is why do you care? I just wanna know what Persian from India means in her case? I would agree with you which is why I used the word Parsi as the Indian community of Persian origin. Otherwise, Parsi strictly means Persian in our language. The terminology in Persian language does not concern people from India or anywhere else, it’s strictly refers to being from Persia.
@@Hermesborugerdian 1- i seem to care because on youtube i'm a nosy obnoxious dude lol. But irani's and parsi's are not seen as iranians in India...for them is just some people with some surenames of some ethnic/ cultural thing...like so many others in india. I doubt that people even know what these subgroups mean lol. Parsi's btw are a endangered species...indian government gives parsi couples money to marry eachother and not intermarry with others loool it is really funny....they should ask unesco to subsidise them loooool
@@Hermesborugerdian
Parsis in India are more Iranian than Iranians in Iran. Parsis are Zoroastrians and every morning they pray to Mount Damavand highest mountain in Iran the user above who left that pure garbage comment hasn't got a clue
Watching all these colorful dishes gave me a strong motivation to go to LA and try Rafie's foods, thank you Mark for this amazing tour.
WOW! The hospitality of those restaurant owners is AMAZING! I hope to get to LA to visit these restaurants.
I have new neighbors that are Iranian and they are super nice and friendly just like the people in this video. Thanks Mark for showing the greater good in ALL people 🤗
There's NOTHING like Persian food, the variety of dishes and the combination of different ingredients is unique...
Persian food may include a lot of spices like Indian food
To be fair, there is NOTHING like all the other countries foods too.
Agree!
Whenever i am down....Mark's videos erases all the stress and just....at this point i can say Mark is the most comforting person I know in youtube.
I’m loving watching your Persian friends enjoying the food completely 🥰🥰🥰 so cute
