Letesenbet Gidey 5000m WR attempt ISTAF Berlin 2023 (

Our running star unfortunately didn't break the WR (set by Faith Kipyegon 14:05.20) but it was close. Better luck next time Gidey!
It would be useful to mention that this race came after Gidey switched to marathon distance in 2022.
Also, Gidey did menage to get silver (10000m) in world championship this year, a couple of weeks before this event.
