Dropkick murphys is not mostly a coverband have you been living under a rock they have been making music since the early 90's and have dozens of original songs and a lot of albums so do your research as for this song i love it they did a really great job

erm, not really, they do do covers but mostly their 'covers' are renditions of old irish folk songs (different from covers) but have a lot of originals.
Usually 1 or 2 per album. I love their renditions. I liked how they reversed the process a bit with Blood.

dropkick murphys is mostly a cover band
there are always similarities, most of the normal rock songs are about love, drugs, party, sex, violence, hangover, life, friends, family and other things such as those, so they use the same words. it's the same in every other genre, they always have "their" topics, so that's nothing special i think
