In this video I’m cutting Nobilis trees in an old foliage plantage. It’s a first-time thinning. The sortiment´s I’m making is a 2,43m for the pallets and a 3m for the woodchips.
I´m driving a Ponsse Buffalo Dual from 2019 with a H5 aggregate. When forwarding I have an extra banke so that I can drive with two rows of logs.

What would you say: is the ponsse dual a harvester or a forwarder? A friend of mine and i thinking about buying a Ponsse Dual. We think we have 70% Work for a havester and only 30% for forwarder because many people here, have a tractor with loggingtrailer.

That is a question with many opinions. I have been driving dual for teen years so I'm use to cut with it. I also have some jobs where I only cut the trees. I think it can be compared with a "normal" harvester at the same size. As a forwarder there is no difference between a dual and a normal buffalo. The hoses under the crane is strong and you get use to them. I don't even think about them.

@@modernlumberjack hallo. Are you still driving the dual maschine? Where do you come from? Which reach has the k90 dual crane? At the moment my friend is driving a harvester like execavator so the crane and the ccabin is turning together. He is not surre if he wants a machine where the crane is mounted in front of the cabin.
