also you can do tribal braids (aka pop smokes) i take 9 locs to form my braids and combine by the top of braid starting with barrel rolls then going into braiding. you can look it up to get an idea

Yes and no! I’ll cut my tips eventually anyway as they grow longer or they’ll naturally shed or break off! Im not as obsessed about maintaining every inch of growth in this stage. I’d love to get the long shoulder length locs but I know dyeing my hair comes with a price. I don’t think about it much! 😅
