OH about that what if everyone gets murdered question, I actually tested that a bit ago. Made the smallest possible town and fast forwarded and solved murders until everyone was gone. Some notable tidbits of that include: - Sometimes after all the residents of an apartment are gone, that apartment can be put up for sale and be purchased by the player. - Once all the enforcers are gone, no one will set up the crime scene and the security gates will stay closed until you yourself open them or trigger the alarm. - With only very few citizens left, jobs become extremely repetitive with the same people constantly putting up the exact same jobs again and again. I solved the exact same infidelity case 4 times in a row. Eventually there won't be any more job postings at all. - Murders start taking a long time to be found because there's no one there to find them. I had to start patrolling all the apartments myself to speed up things. - If the first murder doesn't get found and a second one happens a random citizen will report both at once, even if there was no way they could have seen any of them. - Murdered or arrested citizens are never replaced, so all the homes, workplaces etc. stay empty. - Homeless people can't be murdered or be a murderer so they'll be the only ones left at the end. They'll never move into any of the now abandoned homes.

Storytime: I just got 2 cases that honestly make the most interesting sequence of events I've ever played through. I was hired to do a regular photo job but I decided to play it weirdly. I went to the house of the guy I had to take a picture of with him still inside of it. I proceeded to lockpick my way in and snoop about while he was sitting on a couch, watching TV. While snooping I came across a shotgun, key and password - all normal things. He somehow saw me with the eyes on the back of his head and chased me for a second before I lost aggro in his own bathroom and found my way into his closet before waiting for him to go to bed to take the photograph. I then noticed that the one who commissioned the photo... was his neighbor. Strange but normal enough. Well, as I was running around by city hall, towards my next job, I suddenly see a dude running around with a shotgun who proceeds to blast some random person. Panicking, I drop everything, go grab handcuffs from the city hall and arrest the dude. Lo and behold, it was the dude I had JUST taken a photo of. The victim? The partner of the one who commissioned the photo. This was a seemingly conscious back and forth between two individuals who seemed to know what the other was up to. The most jarring part? The SECOND I hit the save button to come back to this save later, my game crashed, losing the save file. And the recording I had got corrupted so either choppy or no audio and I can't skip through the hours of footage. Those AI got too smart. They might have infiltrated my PC already... It's much too late... (I was playing on a large map so the odds of this happening are very low- abysmal even.) Just thought I'd share since I love this game and Insym videos are the whole reason I have it :D

I had such a crazy case a couple of days ago. A sniper shot someone in the street from the 14th floor on the other side of the city. I thought maybe the victim was chosen because their apartments were close, but the victim's apartment was also multiple blocks away. Had to resort to using the city database to solve it.
I actually didn't know you made playthroughs of games without Twitch chat. I loved this series and all the twists and turns it had. I hope there is more to come soon. This was definitely entertaining!
Just been watching new vids at my own pace because of my schedule lately - I was wondering if this might be the last one for this game for a while so you can imagine how delighted I was when I got to the end and Insym mentioned what might happen in the 'next one'! And as much as I love the stream vods too, sometimes chat just gets too chaotic for me so I really love how I can still get my dose of Insym humour with these offline playthroughs.
Hello, just dropping in here again with some knowledge in reaction to a few specfic part of the video as I go along - The PartialPrints mod is heavily configurable, but by default it will turn all fingerprints into a unique sequence of 5 letters. Scanned fingerprints will reveal 2 or 3 of those digits by default. It shows where the partials are placed in the sequence (e.g. full print is ABCDE, but one scanned partial reveals -B--D-, another nearby reveals AB--E). There is no computer app to connect them, you just have to do that puzzle manually and put the full sequence into a post-it note on your pinboard if you need that. But for handing in the evidence in a murder case, any partial will count. - Which brings me to my second point. I noticed you fumbling with which of the two fingerprints you found in seperate places to turn in with the second murder case. This is possibly a bit of a game logic spoiler: but as long as the fingerprint belongs to the real killer, any of their pinned fingerprints will count as evidence, even if you didn't find it on the scene. - When you got confused with the route pointer at 1:55:14 after hitting "Plot Route To Hand-In" for the arrest case, and it wasn't pointing towards city hall, but towards your house, it's because you have a case tray in your house. Your own case tray is fully functional and you can receive and hand in cases both there and in the city hall. And the "Plot Route To Hand-In" will plot the route to the case tray that is closest to you. - Fun fact about briefcases, because there is another little feature there that most people don't know. So in your apartment you can buy your own briefcases. But with your own briefcases, you can actually put money in them, 1000cr at a time. Not really useful for anything gameplay related because nothing can really threaten your bank account in this game other than medical fees and the occasional mugger. But it's there if you want to RP having an emergency/escape cash stash under your bed. Or if you're about to retire but want to spread your wealth rather than giving it all to one person, get a bunch of briefcases with money in them and go to town with the "Give Item" feature!
The stinky is definitely from rooting through the trash! I made a point of checking trash in my playthroughs because of the tutorial and had to stop because it consistently would make me stinky. Also it never gave me clues. It speeds up your stinkiness so it may not happen the first time, but will always happen within 2-3 trash checks. House decor: I loved putting in a coffee vending machine, snack vending machine, water cooler, and cigarette machine. That way you can actually buy food in your home, or the water cooler gives free water. Can have real food in the fridge. I also like eating + drinking past satiation so that you are focused and energized (faster movement speed, longer until you have hunger/thirst). The large coffee machine is also cool aesthetically though it didn't yield coffee. There's also a mini fridge for drinks. Ideas: Can you catch someone on CCTV stealing an item from someone's home? I love the infidelity cases because they feel very personal, and actual detectives end up doing those the most. I've always wanted to try to catch the lovers meeting? It said when you took the infidelity case that photos could be possible, and that poem has come up a few times where they ask to meet a quarter to nine. Staking out infidelity feels the most like actual detective work
Another idea for a different run: True vigilante justice with no ties to any corpo. Never use a syncdisc (it doesn't force you to), no arrest cases for the enforcers, no starch kola. Only solve crimes that after you look into them deserve to be solved. Maybe give stolen diamonds to folks who are struggling, for example. Don't help spouses solve infidelity if they don't seem like great people. Follow your own justice
Oh a couple more. I'm enjoying this game a lot. -Check in on those poor remaining people in 4th floor Schuster towers to make sure they're ok? -I know cheesing the weapons ledger makes it less fun. But maybe it could be used to catch someone before they kill?
Really loving all the content lately! But this series especially just seeing how everything unfolds. It is extremely interesting as well to see the thought process of each individual murder case being solved. Along with all the chaos that ensues as a bonus lol
If you're looking for tips for this game, I'd check out the steam guides page as it has quite a bit of interesting posts, notably ones like; tracking down illegal businesses, job titles & salaries, and how to use the city editor (really helped me as the randomness of the city generation can be too much sometimes). Or you can check the discussions page and see how other people have solved crimes to maybe give you a new angle to search. For instance, have you had a sniper case where the killer shot from a rooftop? Well I did and tracking down a bullet casing can get bugged out to the point it took 3 deaths before the casing showed up and, due to a lack of any evidence leading me to who the killer was, I was forced to stack out the rooftop for 10 hrs in order to catch them in the act. I love this game and I have so many ideas I hope they add in the future. Your videos are always so fun to watch and I like your ideas for new jobs.
@@VolpeuszRetirement to me means end of series, I want to know what happens at the very end if there is something yet you misconstrued what made perfect sense to me, not my problem, but your's. Don't reply to me after this.
@@h2oQueen what a drama queen kekw. you are first person that uses ,,retirement'' as end of series i ever saw. such coincidence that last level is retirement. i'll tell you what, because something makes perfect sense for you that doesnt mean it makes sense for everyone else. gl in life with that attitude. but if you want to know what happens at the end maybe watch first season of that game where he reached that last lvl?
I think they need a medical data file in the wards so you can look up the afflictions, e.g., asthma I think the cctv needs to be a bit better. Most of the time, it does not show the killer. It would also be cool to see stalkers in the cctv.
One time I solved an envelope job, the only info given was: short brown hair, brown eyes, A+ blood type. I Figured if it's an envelope case target must be somewhere in the offices. So I went through almost all of them looking at employee boards and searching through employee files cabinets looking for a short brown hair and brown eyes person. I collected matching profiles and then went to city hall with them. There I was able to look them up on a cruncher and figure out their blood type. 3 people matched provided description, so I went through their homes and offices and found the envelope in the last one. That was an interesting experience...
please keep playing shadows of doubt, I just discovered the game cause of you and I CANNOT stop watching. It's such a fun and unique game, im thinking about buying it for myself as well :)
Idk if it works but insym you can place a Bloodhound sensor near the gun place so when someone comes to buy a gun you get a notification and you can follow that guy and can potentially witness a murder or can prevent one.
The icon saying you were stinky popped up when you threw the milk on the floor when you were "filling the place with garbage." I think some splashed on you, and that pushed you over the edge when combined with the fact that you'd been rooting through their trash moments before.
Yay! More Shadows of Doubt! I absolutely love this game. I hope they eventually improve the city customization because I'd love to make a fully custom city. The current tile system they use for customization is so bare bones and naming things doesn't even work. I'd love to be able to make a really intricate city with real parks and the like and then jump in and watch the citizens start murdering each other lol.
There’s this glitch not a lot of people know about but you can forcefully evict any citizen you want from an apartment lol 1- knock the people living there out 2- call the enforcers 3-make sure the people are still knocked out by the time enforcers arrive And boom they’ll set up the place as a “crime scene” and the people will basically be evicted
i usually prefer watching vids with chat because of their interaction with insym, but ngl insyms hype and excitement is so infectious that i cant stop watching the shadows of doubt series :) hope you keep playing it edit: talking about the whole city being replaced, if you had a 100 person city, wouldn’t it only take 50 cases for everyone to be gone? because don’t the murderers also disappear forever after going to jail + their victims? it’s kinda crazy, idk how many cases this playthrough is up to but it’s gotta be like 1/5th of the city population thats rotated by going to jail for life or being murdered. i would not want to live there with those odds no doubt the neighbors of all those murderers want gone HAHA
2:13:56 - Since clients often take targets close to their own apartment, it sometimes works to at least check all their neighbors for those traits. 1:55:00 - you got stinky because you've searched through trash earlier^^
The murder case at the start reminds me of a case I had where I was low social rank so I wasn't allowed into the echelon zone so I was sneaking in before the enforcers showed up, bumped into someone leaving the crime scene, made a note of them (because I'd never seen that, and it seemed weird) and sneakily nabbed their fingerprints as they were walking downstairs. Went into the crime scene and found their fingerprints when they weren't the partner and chased them to arrest them immediately XD
A nine millimeter bullet is actually quite comparable to a pellet of 00 buck shot and is technically more powerful. A 9mm is .357 inches in diameter and a 00 buckshot pellet is .33 inches. Their muzzle velocities are also quite comparable with the averages being 1200 fps (365.76 mps) for a 9mm and 1400 fps (426.72 mps) for a shotgun pellet. The biggest difference would be their weight where a single pellet of 00 buck comes in around 60 grains and the average 9mm slug is 115 grains. Their respective kinetic energy transferred to the target would be 354 joules for the buckshot and 499 joules for a 9mm. What makes a shotgun much more devastating is when you are at closer ranges before the shot pattern opens up, then it’s like catching 9 handgun bullets simultaneously. However per projectile a 9mm is more powerful. This has been your daily lesson from your friendly American gun enthusiast!
Finally, a chill video that isn't a "Spot the difference" game, I was getting tired of watching the same sub-genre of horror. Other than Cyberrat, this is a nice change of pace. Also at this point, Darkwood will be forgotten 😢
At 1:52:50 you got stinky from searching through the trash. Thats also why you got stinky and had to take a shower the first time. After that you tried to get trash to vandalize, and searched the trash twice, making you SUPER stinky. The more items there are in the trash also makes you more stinky, and it was a pretty full trashcan
1:29:48 You don't know how many times I've chucked things around like this on accident 😂😂 like a coffee straight into a person's face while trying to talk to them or something 😂😂 & every time i lose it 🤣🤣🤣it makes me laugh so hard, idk why 🤣🤣 i love it so much
To answer the question at 27:13 , boule in french essentially means "ball" (or balls depending on how you pronounce it) but I think that's actually some kind of joke with base-ball and base-boule just to make it unique to this game universe
I discovered a nice trick for the cases that only give you a description. I don't think it shows up in the case file at all, so I don't know if it is intended, but during the phone call (2:13:05 or so) they tell you where to deliver the results. This is your client's home, and as you've mentioned, the people posting cases usually know their targets. When I tried this, I had a case with a photo attached, so I just knocked on their door and asked if they knew who my target was. I instantly had their name and that they were neighbors. In your case, you'd probably have to get the person's address book and either inspect all of their contacts or run them through the Gov Database, which I think has those details. It should work the same, though. :)
22:00 About the stalker emails, I tried catching a murder after finding out the murderer lived next door to the victim. Unfortunately, I think those "help" emails only generate _after_ a person is killed. Because, after I went back to an older save, as I passed time waiting for the killer to come by, a different murder happened instead, and those emails no longer existed.
I have just watched the whole series, I don't know if you have figured this out yet but when dealing with a sniper case, you can use any fingerprint from the killer even if it's just on a door as evidence, it kinda breaks immersion but it's a work around for now until they fix the murder weapon being replaced once you pick it up yourself.
About that vandalism part, even when it doesn't update (or mark it as done) you can actually see if it's updated. If you look at the bar right under the text, you can see when it's done it'll turn in bright brown colour and when it's not done it'll show you light brown colour or something like that (don't know actually colour my bad) try it you'll seee
I fell in love with this game because I watched you playing it aha, utterly addicted! I think it's brilliant how different each playthrough is too! The potential this game has is huge too. And I reckon I'll be going for the 100% achievements for it 😀🫶
Neil Waller was a baller His victim's final caller Inspector 'sym Just left him Now they call 'im Neil Walker. Just having fun, of course. I love this series. By the way, Neil has DK's fingerprints. Seems like DK gets up to sussy things when he's not working on Phasmo ;)
About camera in hotel: you know it but I'll refresh it, you can disable cameras in that room from the computer. It's a little op too because there usually no camera in surveillance room in hotel
maybe they'll update the game where if you're a good enough detective you start to get a batman reputation where the police are just like oh yeah it's him, he knows what he's doing, and small crimes like trespassing would be less important while still keeping murder punishable
2:14:00 I was thinking it's interesting we can't do much with medical records atm; blood type etc. It would be cool if we had a Gov database type resource where we could investigate the wards for medical data and filter patients by body attributes, blood type, afflictions (depression, alcoholism etc). I think it would be insanely OP if it were just an "access for free any time" kind of deal, but maybe unlocked as part of a social level reward? Or a specific sync disk?
OH about that what if everyone gets murdered question, I actually tested that a bit ago. Made the smallest possible town and fast forwarded and solved murders until everyone was gone. Some notable tidbits of that include:
- Sometimes after all the residents of an apartment are gone, that apartment can be put up for sale and be purchased by the player.

That's so interesting thank you for the science. Can one murderer just murder the entire city? LOL that would be really funny.

Just finished all of your Shadows of Doubt videos and desperately hoping you do another run through asap 😅
Your videos are always so fun to watch and I like your ideas for new jobs.
yesss my favorite series! ❤️ please don’t stop uploading these! :)))
You actually looked right at that Jade necklace last episode, and you commented on not stealing it! I love the coincidence :D
Why does this series make me so happy! Can't wait till you reach retirement level. Thanks for the content!
he already did it in previous video
@@VolpeuszInsym did show us the retirement option however he still wants to go undergo more cases, so not quite there yet
@@h2oQueen thats what im saying, he reached retirement level
Finally more Shadows of Doubt. I absolutely love this game and these videos. Please please please keep them coming!
ive played this game for 14 hours a day for the past 3 days since i discovered it through you so thank you
I think they need a medical data file in the wards so you can look up the afflictions, e.g., asthma
I think the cctv needs to be a bit better. Most of the time, it does not show the killer. It would also be cool to see stalkers in the cctv.
Thank you for playing and uploading this game again, Insym.
I LOOOVE this series! I’m gonna be so sad when it’s over! Thanks for the amazing content, Insym! ❤
This is an amazing game. I'm glad I saw you playing it - you convinced me to buy it. Really fun stuff with a lot of potential for the future.
YESSSS I am so addicted to Insym's Shadow of Doubt playthroughs!
It's such a fun and unique game, im thinking about buying it for myself as well :)
just love this game so much , thank u insym , shadows of doubt is love
Idk if it works but insym you can place a Bloodhound sensor near the gun place so when someone comes to buy a gun you get a notification and you can follow that guy and can potentially witness a murder or can prevent one.
05:33 this is need to be included in Insym's funny montage/compilation😂
The icon saying you were stinky popped up when you threw the milk on the floor when you were "filling the place with garbage." I think some splashed on you, and that pushed you over the edge when combined with the fact that you'd been rooting through their trash moments before.
thank you so much for another video of playing this masterpiece of a game
Oh snap around 50:00 it said 'hair' and not 'hair hair' lol ! Also, super excited to see this series still going!! Thank youu
Hey! Haven't seen a new episode in this series for a while. Do you plan to do the retirement case to wrap up the playlist?
Let's goo! New Shadows of Doubt video! I've been waiting for this!
There’s this glitch not a lot of people know about but you can forcefully evict any citizen you want from an apartment lol
1- knock the people living there out
2- call the enforcers
3-make sure the people are still knocked out by the time enforcers arrive
And boom they’ll set up the place as a “crime scene” and the people will basically be evicted
I posted this glitch to Reddit when I discovered it.
@@Wildcard65ayy so it must’ve been your post that I saw
i usually prefer watching vids with chat because of their interaction with insym, but ngl insyms hype and excitement is so infectious that i cant stop watching the shadows of doubt series :) hope you keep playing it
edit: talking about the whole city being replaced, if you had a 100 person city, wouldn’t it only take 50 cases for everyone to be gone? because don’t the murderers also disappear forever after going to jail + their victims?
it’s kinda crazy, idk how many cases this playthrough is up to but it’s gotta be like 1/5th of the city population thats rotated by going to jail for life or being murdered. i would not want to live there with those odds no doubt the neighbors of all those murderers want gone HAHA
Thank you for this video I’ve been waiting since the last one not knowing if there would be another
It's so fun watching Shadows of Doubt stuff. I like playing it too.
i audibly shouted with happiness seeing that this was today's upload!
2:13:56 - Since clients often take targets close to their own apartment, it sometimes works to at least check all their neighbors for those traits.
1:55:00 - you got stinky because you've searched through trash earlier^^
very nice and diverce episode! Great for new players! Thank you, Insym!
I’m glad this is coming to ps5 I can’t wait to play it
Love Shadows of Doubt. Thanks Insym. Hardest working man on Twitch and UA-cam 😅
Having a rough day today, so this comes at a perfect time! Thanks for all your videos Mr Insym 🥰
nothing lasts brother no worries, keep your head up! :D
@@tiktaktikify thanks bro I appreciate it :)
So hyped for the next episode of the series!
2:11:24 So long to no stealing in this playthrough)
Real ones remember when he saw the jade necklace a while ago
4:18 i love that reaction so much 😂
A nine millimeter bullet is actually quite comparable to a pellet of 00 buck shot and is technically more powerful.
You literally making me happy when I see that new episode of this game was published ❤
Yay I was waiting for another part!
Love this game, I'm so glad you did another video! ❤
Now here's to hoping there will be more Abiotic Factory as well!
The fact that Insym was really enjoying and invested in the tv programming until it was shut off poor guy couldn’t catch a break lol 43:46 - 44:30
Havent touched the game in like a month... this gonna make me want to hop in again 😆
As someone from Maryland the last thing I expected insym to talk about would be the Francis Scott key bridge accident. Caught me so off guard lol 😂
the excitement of seeing a new shadows of doubt video
1:55:00 - He's out there touching grass and existing off the internet? he's truly *gaming* now. I hope one day I will reach this level.
Please upload this game more.
Love some good ol Shadows of Doubt with Insym! Hopefully the devs eventually fix the twitch integration so you can stream the game again.
LOL! The Police AI is BRUTAL!!
thank you for another shadow of doubt video!
I love watching you play this game, I have it in my wishlist so I can someday play it!
I know Kikoskia did, indeed, steal a whole set of pool balls and cues for his house.
And I reckon I'll be going for the 100% achievements for it 😀🫶
Neil Waller was a baller
His victim's final caller
Inspector 'sym
Just left him
Now they call 'im Neil Walker.
Just having fun, of course. I love this series.
By the way, Neil has DK's fingerprints. Seems like DK gets up to sussy things when he's not working on Phasmo ;)
"Arm chair civil engineers" sent me xD
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
2:11:00 LMAO Insym being the trashcan thrower
About camera in hotel: you know it but I'll refresh it, you can disable cameras in that room from the computer. It's a little op too because there usually no camera in surveillance room in hotel
Love your shadows of doubt content! This has always been my favorite game to play and watch! ❤ Does the fanciest building still have roaches?! Lol
maybe they'll update the game where if you're a good enough detective you start to get a batman reputation where the police are just like oh yeah it's him, he knows what he's doing, and small crimes like trespassing would be less important while still keeping murder punishable
1:00:23 if you watch as the NPC walks away you’ll see the persons of interest leave footprints.
This video makes my day better
