Gather the data, Lois. It will take time and patience and some research. Superman appears, Clark disappears. Clark disappears, Superman appears. When Superman has a bad experience, Clark disappears for a time. If Clark is in a different locality, Superman seems have changed locality, also. Superman says Clark washes his suits for him. Clark knows how to communicate with Superman when most people just scream for S to appear. There was that time when Superman hit an asteroid and disappeared and Clark appears dazed and confused. Oh, and there is the whole well built body, black hair and brown eyes, same height, nearly, the same voice. Won't be one factor, but all the data together.
