In Rome where the band is from there's an old graveyard often refered to as castello which might imply that Coraline unalived herself. It is actually unknown who the song is about, nothing was ever confirmed by a band member. The singer Damiano did say his now Ex girlfriend convinced him to write this song and she has a "caroline" tattoo but i think she got it after the song was written. Luckily she's still alive so i don't think this song is about her specifically. All we know is that it was indeed inspired by a real person which makes it evermore sad.
Thx. It's a matter of taste, but for some this is their best song. Another contender is Torna a Casa about the bands struggles. Their other songs are all over the place, but always quality. Please, keep on doing more of their stuff. Peace.
Italy is known for its passionate people, but I believe that this very passion also makes us more aware of its extreme consequences, at least on an artistic level.
Even worst, the last part talks about a castle... In Rome there is one of the biggest cemetery of Italy which is called Verano whih actually was built as an enormous fortress with massive walls... I think the sense is like if you die nothing else can hurt you. Really sad song.

It is dedicated to the fragility of the singer Damiano's ex-girlfriend Giorgia Soleri but also to abused women

Another beautiful poignant italian song: Gemelli Diversi - Mary
Abuse story
