I inherited one just like yours from my grandfather. His brother brought it home from the war.
Awesome video, I have a CE 41 Kar98k also, it lacks a “mod 98” stamp on the left side of the receiver like yours, do you know why this is? Thank you.
Never mind I just finished the rest of the video.
JP did not include it in their rifles as they sub contracted their receivers to another company
looks incredible! Ive got a CE 41 serial number 141 with almost all matching parts, the stock and butt plate were replaced at some time but otherwise all matching. You've got an incredibly clean rifle!
additionally mine did not include a sight hood or a cleaning rod so both of those which i acquired are not matching
did all CE41s forego the MOD98 lettering?

I had a dry firing dot44, but now only my beatifull gustloff werke bcd 1942 k98. Not matching but a really nice rifle with a early war stock.
This is a best rifle kar 98 k mauser i have 1937 model
Yes tow model was coming 7.62 an this is 7.92 8x57 mm
What’s the big deal all matching early war and JP sauer …….. Just kidding nice gun and yes hard to find and the prices have gone up on all K98s
